We stayed with Sujatha and Roney for 8 nights in May this year (we are a bit slow on submitting this review!) Our experience was fantastic and we felt like part of the family from the very first moment. Roney welcomed us so warmly and generously - the perfect host and Sujatha who was not well at the time still...

We started our three week trip through Sri Lanka with two wonderful nights at Sujatha's homestay. Sujatha and Roney are great hosts who really make you feel like home from the very first minute. They were very helpful answering all our questions and gave us a lot of useful advice and hints about the life and traveling in Sri Lanka....

So we arrived from Colombo on the train and not one tricycle wanted to take us to Sujartha's, but after one quick phone call a trike was sent to us. Sujatha's is outside of town but nothing is to far away when using the Tricycles, a point to note if you are in town during a religious holiday you will...

What a wonderful experience it was staying at Sujatha's Homestay. From the booking, to the final farewell, my partner and I were treated like old friends. Roney and Sujatha are not only wonderful hosts, they are very interesting people, conversation comes very naturally, and they are both genuinely interested in others. We knew it was worth the 10 minute tuktuk...

Sujatha's home is truly Paradise. Hard to find but worth the effort. A beautiful home set in a lovely, peaceful garden. Birds and geckos abound. Apparently there are monkeys but we did not see any - just as well as they eat the tomatoes growing in the garden. Breakfast was one of the best we had. Try the Buffalo curds...

Roney and Sujatha are fantastic hosts and interesting people. Their rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable and the food is authentic and proudly Sri Lankan. The cooking demonstration with Sujatha was one of the highlights of my trip so far. It's a quick bus or tuk-tuk trip down to the lake, so as far as I'm concerned (after having...

I assure you that you won't regret staying here. The house is lovely. It's a bit further from the lake but it is easily reachable by bus or tuk tuk. Sujatha and Ronnie are great, friendly and helpful. They can help you with anything you need as a traveler and at the same time you have your privacy and peace.

We were very warmly welcomed by Roney and Sujatha,, and immediately felt at home in their lovely home and beautiful surroundings. Our rooms were very well appointed and were large and spacious.. Ronnie and Sujatha are so welcoming and made us feel at home. And a lovely home it is too! Very near the town of Kandy but in a lovely quiet location in the tree tops. The homestay dinner was one of the best meals we have had in Sri Lanka. Cannot recommend staying here highly enough!
