We were at Kapindra Residence in Feb 2012. We drove there direct from the airport on chauffeur driven vehicle. The owner was very helpful and organised another place of accommodation for the driver free of charge. He even organised a tray of flowers to offer at the Temple of the tooth. Food was great and the service was friendly. Only...

We stayed three nights, probably one too many for Kandy. There are four rooms, two have no outside window. We chose one of these as the other available had wall to ceiling windows almost all the way round and were worried it might be noisy. The room was clean and was bright with light coming through an above head height...

Pros: Great location, 5 mins to the temple of the tooth. Cons: This is not a hotel. You will be staying in a cellar-like location where 3 out of 4 rooms are noisy either because they are full-glass walls down to the main street (honking all night and zero sound insulation) or because they have no outside windows but ventilation...

We stayed for 2 nights in this stylish, well designed and comfortable place with only 4 modern rooms, run by the very friendly and personable Mr Agode and his family. The guest house is ideally situated only 5 minutes' walk from the Tooth Temple, which is well worth a visit, and also very close to the Slightly Chilled restaurant bar,...

Most accommodation in Sri Lanka has driver accommodation, as hiring a driver is the most common way to get around. Kapindra residence DOES NOT have driver accommodation. We were not told this when we booked and when we arrived we spoke to the manager about what we could do about our booking and our driver. We told him that usually...

By far the best hospitality during our Sri Lanka travel. The last day the host even insisted to bring us to the trainstain at 5.30am. Kapindra is meticulous in every aspect: very clean rooms, very tasteful modern decoration, excellent breakfast with fresh orange juice. A big contrast to the big hotel chains which are overall overpriced vs delivered quality (many...

We stayed here for 2 nights (myself and my girlfriend). The location is ideal, 5 min walk from the places you'll want to visit/ be and in a relatively peaceful part. The room was great - big and clean. The breakfasts were excellent and we were treated to different Sri Lankan specialities each day. The Staff are very friendly and...

I recently stayed at Kapindra residence with my partner and two friends. This was a wonderful start to our experience in Sri Lanka. The owner was a fantastic host and the rooms were clean/modern and it really felt like we were at home. The breakfast was ample and the sri lankan breakfast was amazing. The staff were welcoming especially Chandramohan...
