We had an absolutely lovely time staying in this guesthouse in Kandy. Our only regret was that we eventually had to leave. The family that run it are absolutely lovely, and extremely helpful. Definitely try the dinner there too!! Highly Recommend!

We found about this place from the Lonely Planet (2009 edition) - it is spot on ! It's a lovely guesthouse and as soon as you step foot on the verandah a sense of warmth and well being envelopes you. My friend had just lost her bank card and even she felt calm and at ease there as soon as... More

Very much enjoyed our stay here. Easily the best budget hotel we stayed in on our trip to Sri Lanka. Very spacious room with large balcony. The food was excellent and Sarath our host was very kind and hospitable.

We booked to stay here for 2 nights on a recent holiday in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend this guest house - the rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is delicious! I wish we had sampled the evening meals, as I'm sure they would have been very good too. The owners are a lovely couple, very helpful and... More

My partner and I arrived early in the morning (3am) having decided on a whim to catch a taxi straight from Colombo airport, so the pleasantness of Sarath to begin with was definitely appreciated! Room was clean and comfortable - hotel is located amongst others, close to the lake and town, plus a local school which means for a sleep-in,... More

The place is handy, because it is within walking distance from the lake and the city's attractions. I did have the feeling, though, that the room and the homecooked dinner were a bit overpriced. The room was not special, it was a bit damp even and without any view whatsoever. The food was good, but not very yummy like in... More

This guest house is run by a really friendly family; it is really clean tidy and does a good western breakfast. It’s in a good location just up from the lake but about a 10-15min walk to the top of town and the Temple of the Tooth. If you need any advice on your trip planning the owners are very... More

I had mixed feelings about this hotel. The room was good, although a bit damp ( but the weather was rainy) and the hosts were friendly on the surface, especially Nalini. Like some other reviewers I felt that they actually wanted to convince me to arrange my stay as they thought I should i.e book tours etc , rather than... More

Having travelled for several weeks around Sri Lanka we had a variety of Guest House experience and found this one very good and in fact so good we went back a second time. The owners are friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and tidy and the breakfast is amazing. We really did enjoy our stay there but found... More
