Lovely setting overlooking the river Mahaweli but unfortunately the hotel does not live up to its surroundings. The staff should pay a visit to the sister hotel Cinnamon Lodge in Habarana to learn the protocol of hotel service. Do not leave tables unattended long after guests have departed. Smile occasionally, it really does make people feel more welcome. Food was...

Clean, airy- recently refurbed hotel in the jungle by the river in Kandy. A little out of the way of the town and for us a luxury, unusual treat. The staff were wonderful, the pool is perfect temperature, there is a ping pong table, the bed is piled high with cushions- Breakfast was another level altogether- pay for it- you...

Our room overlooked the pool and the river and the jungle. The room was not as good as the Cinnamon Lodge Habarana we stayed in earlier on our tour. We also had a leak from the ceiling outside the bathroom which flooded our floor. The hotel staff dealt with the leak but did not show much concern for our possessions....

This was a nice location. Beautiful view over the river. The room was nice with a good size balcony. There was a leak which meant our balcony furniture was constantly wet which was a bit annoying. The food was good. Nice pool area.

The position of this hotel on the river is stunning, the pool is beautiful and from the first floor dining room the views are amazing. Excellent food, good choices and the presentation was the best we had seen. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. I would recommend this hotel as a very luxurious base.

The Rooms we had were clean tilled floor fairly standard 3 star hotel rooms ( very dated), but a LONG walk to our room ( from reception and pool) with a terrace overlooking a air-conditioning plant and a big tree, no real views of the Mahaveli River ( had requested Garden Rooms ?), unless you leaned over to the left...

Stayed for one night as part of our Sri Lanka tour. Some elements of the rooms were a bit tired but overall a very pleasant stay. Good food and friendly staff. Kandy is busy place and I guess this is about as close as you can get to peace and tranquility so close to the city.

Visited here to have lunch. The main restaurant is located facing the Mahaveli River. The food is quite good and the buffet had average verities of cuisines. The mutton curry was superb. The staff is helpful and friendly. Wish we could spend a night there with the beautiful scenery but we're nit that lucky. But will be coming back for...

After recommendation from our travel agents , we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in our recent holiday to Sri Lanka. After driving 5 1/2 hours from Colombo ( Quite a boring drive through the busy villages and road sides ) , we reached late at night around 10.30. The restaurant had shut by then but the front desk...

This hotel was excellent! From the moment we arrived we felt so welcomed and valued. The view as you enter the lobby is spectacular and worth a visit for that alone! Our room was a but of a walk away but excellent in room facilities, and a lively outdoor sitting area over looking the river. Dinner in the Panorama restaurant...
