"+" Nice place, near my favourite elephant orphanage). at 09:30 they are going to the river from orphanage. very cute picture! do not miss it!) it's just 5 minutes from the villa. we came to this city because of elephants and because it's not far from Colombo. Clean room and jungles are around. birds are singing. good place for stay. room without balcony are better (where we stayed) I think. because it does not look the road.
"-" no places to eat in the evening/ Owner delivered food for us, but it was a little bit expensive, but okay if there are no other possibilities in the evening. we knew that there is nice place Millennium Elephant Foundation and wanted to visit it in the morning, the owner said that it will be free tuk tuk for Elephants farm. but in the morning he went with us and brought us somewhere where there is only 1 elephant and the price was 3 times more the in Millenium 3000 instead of 1000!!!) but when we said that we want to go to Millenium, he brought us there and said that it's 200 rupies instead of free tuk tuk. so, do not believe him and do not take this tuk tuk. just take a cheap local bus (they are often) and in 20 minutes you'are in Millennium Elephant Foundation.

Me and my girlfriend spent in this accommodation 2 nights and everything was superb. Rooms are clean, the owner is helpful and the location is just perfect (close to Pinnawala elephant park and the river with nice views). I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We Stayed 1 night, very nice new place right next to the elephant farm. Owner - great guy, very friendly and customer oriented. We were offered by a free black tea that we could drink On the cozy terrace. The place was clean and tidy! ........definitely recommend! Ps: the house is wooden, you may prefer an AC room as it's a bit hot during the night.

There are 4 rooms, it's really clean, you have air con and hot water. The bed is so comfortable Our best quality for the price in Sri Lanka. The house is beautiful and the owner maintains his place great fully.

We stopped for drink at the hotel by the elephant orphanage. The staff treated us as though we were long stay valued guests. A great experience. A good place to see elephants away from the crowds. Would go again

This is one of the budget hotel near Pinnawala elephant orphanage and zoo. Just a walking 5 minute distance to elephant orphanage from this hotel.
My booking was 3500 sri lankan rupee. Value for money compared to other hotels nearby orphanage. Staff was so good. Specially owner was so helpful. This hotel is famous among locals and foreign tourists.
Foods were hygienic and good. But I didnt like taste alot.
If you visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage this hotel is best place to stay for budget price. You can go to see elephants bath from this hotel around 10.00 a.m.
Rooms were clean. Comfortable beds. Infront of hotel small garden is there. Parking space available. Washroom facilities were good. WIFI was available.
Overall this hotel is value for money and good location.

Stayed for a day to visit the Pinnawala Elephant orphanage. The rooms are well kept with ample space attached with a garden. Just 4 minutes walk to the elephant orphanage. Reacheble either by bus or tuktuk from the nearest railway station.

It was mostly better than I expected. The place was easy to reach. Located in an almost walking distance from the Elephant Orphanage and also close to the Pinnawala Zoo. The room was nice, clean and in very good condition. So was the bathroom. It had more than we can expect for a wallet friendly place, a shared TV lounge and a Dining area. The owner/manager was friendly and helpful, and was kind to offer us a welcoming tea, and to suggest and offer us everything a guest might want if needed. I doubtlessly recommend the place for both local and foreign travelers.

We booked this hostel the night before we arrived! This was the only hostel who on arrival made the effort to know exactly who we were. Priyantha, the owner was very friendly and extremely helpful throughout our stay, he actually ended up going on to drive us from Pinnawala all the way to Negombo which was a real life saver.
As for the hostel itself, it was immaculate, spacious and had hot water! Which is a major bonus for me cause most other places in Sri Lanka I had to shower in freezing cold water. Wi-fi worked perfectly also. This was such a great little find and walking distance from many Elephant places, the place Priyantha took us was not the Orphanage but actually was a lot better. We got to ride, feed and bathe the elephants at the place! unreal experience all round. So glad I stumbled upon this place! very cheap for what you get.
