This was a lovely guesthouse. Warmly greeted by the owners on arrival, we were lavished with attention throughout the stay without ever feeling imposed upon. Food was delicious and plentiful, fresh and varied. The rooms were of a wonderful size, although the single beds are bordering on too small for adults (I am 1.68m tall), the bathrooms were also a...

The Devi tourist home is a must stay place in Polonowuru (which is a must see place in Sri Lanka). The place is run by a lovely married couple, with family and staff to help They provide good food and are happy to help in any way they can (including using their phone to make a couple of local calls)....

Stayed here for one night to visit polonnawarra. Room basic (but with air con) and bathroom could have been cleaner but great value food and very friendly. The waiter showed us how to play a game shoving counters around a board (similar rules to pool) which was fun and the kids enjoyed. Hired their bikes for 300 rupees each -...

Simple hotel but so nice. Good food, friendly and very helpful owners. All you need for a stay of a couple of days in pollonaruwa. They also have bikes to ride around town and the archaeological site.

good room, cold shower and seating outside room. Wifi poor as we had found in other homestays. We stayed three days and ate breakfast and dinner there, ok but expensive for what you get, too much rice/noodles. The lady is a good hostess but the husband is a taxi driver first! The ruins are an easy walk from the Devi...

Genial hosting does not quite make up for mediocre facilities and poor maintenance in rooms. Food good and plentiful but not outstanding value. Pleasant environment for eating with other guests. Shop around for tuk tuk tour of ancient city, most drivers offer keener prices.

The food was replenished until we were satisfied. - very helpful people with a great sense of humour. - easy...
