I had amazing three nights there. The guesthouse is Cody and has a beautiful garden. The manager and his local friends are an amazing company, we had good time together playing music etc. I warmly recommend the place!

It's not a 5 star sort of place but you get friendly family service, bike rental, air con room overlooking paddy fields, outdoor area to sit and meet. We didn't eat dinner there but they were hosting a wedding reception for 200 guests the day we left so they know how to cater. Good location to cycle for the Ruins.

My experience here was the best so far in Sri Lanka. Very friendly manager Layan and staff, ready to help in every way, and if you're lucky you will play guitar and sing local song with the manager and the other guests!! Good food and good accomodation for a cheap price! You can rent a bike in place and go...

We had a really good stay here. The guest house is perfectly located, close to buses, museum and ruins. First day they arranged a safari for us at Kaudulla National Park. We saw lots of elephants!! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Would stay again!

We arrived unexpectedly and were given a room straight away for an excellent price. It was a clean, comfortable, quiet and safe room. Beds were large and comfortable! The food here has been to an amazing standard, I recommend the fish with hot garlic sauce! We rented bikes in the morning and went on an incredible safari arranged through the...

I stayed here for one night with a few other travelers. Upon arrival, the team showed us their AC rooms which were beautiful, but out of our budget. They were very responsive to our budget needs, and offered us the non-AC rooms for our price. It does stay hot at night, so if you can splurge on AC, this is...

The hotel is a great location for seeing the archeological ruins. They offer bikes for a small fee, which makes seeing the sites easier. I had a non AC room, which I kinda regret because the weather was so hot and I found it very difficult to sleep. The room was basic but clean - brand new mosquito net which...

This is a good place to stay if your want to visit the ruins by bike, see the sunset at the lakeside and feel like in the rural area (the rooms on the new building behind the old one have a view over the paddy fields situated between the guesthouse and the lake). The food is good and the rooms are...

Really nice and friendly guest house. As I right this review Layan the hotel manager is playing us traditional Sri Lankan music on his guitar. Not a bad singer - X factor round two or three if lucky that kind of level. Back to the review - I asked for a good view and I was given it. Uninterrupted paddy...
