Visited early 2016. Authentic Sri Lankan experience with a rustic feel. Calm and peaceful environment. Very close to the pollonnaruwa historic site. Food was great and our host Ajith was wonderful. We will definitely visit clay hut village again in the near future.

We arrived during a power cut but were provided with candles and many apologies! It was very hot, so it was a great relief when the power returned. It was quite late when we got there but, even though we had not prebooked, food had been prepared for us, which was delicious and plentiful, including gorgeous dhal and locally caught...

Located right next to the Polonnaruwa ancient ruins. They don't have television facilities. Food is okay. But the price is too much. They rent bicycles to the visitors as well. Every unit is equipped with A/C & hot water.

The room as the name suggests was a clay hut, as some reviewers have observed there is a slightly damp smell but it's more like fresh...

We came with a group of 14 people. The rooms were clean and big. I liked the style of decoration. Ajith and his family made our stay lovely and comfortable. The site of Polonnaruwa is nearby and easy to discover by bike. The owner, Esther, knows a good guide to join you.
