We were used to a lot of low budget accommodations, but this was the worst on our trip thrue Sri Lanka. Although the room was spacious for the 3 of us (3 big beds), it wasn't clean. We stayed in the building at the back (old one). The shower gave poor water and was way to low for us tall...

This place has the quirkiest decor of all the guesthouses I have stayed in in Sri Lanka - the room greeted us with flowers, as well as cuddly toys. A nice, clean two double bedded room was only 3500 rupees with a private bathroom&fan. Beware of the local wildlife that makes its way into the room - we had a...

This place is very much on the budget side and if you're happy to put up with that, then fine. It wasn't for me. Positives were that the room was clean and it's very handy for visiting Sigiriya. The downsides were that the bed was like a rock, there was no toilet paper, the shower cold and the towel provided...

Stayed there one night yesterday. There is two different buildings we were in the new one. The room is well decorated(with some stuffed animals and plastic flowers) and pretty clean. Well, we had some frogs and geckos inbthe room but it was raining like hell outside, and you can find it funny! The family running the guesthouse is very nice,...

My partner and I were travelling Sri Lanka by motorcycle in April and one of our first stops was Sigiriya. We found the Flower Inn through Lonely Planet and it was a lovely place to stay. We just showed up and were lucky enough to get a room. The rates were extremely reasonable, the welcome friendly and the breakfast yummy....

Flower inn is nicely located in the walking distance from the archeology site, which makes it a rather popular place. Also it's mentioned in the guides, so call in advance and make a reservation if you want to stay here. What makes the place peculiar are the decorations. Stuffed animals, flowers and colorful rooms. One has to feel happy here....

While there's nothing to write home about, I can't come up with any serious complaint about it either. We had a double fan room with private bathroom for 2200Rs, breakfast wasn't included but was nicely priced at 350Rs a piece. Overall the place is quite messy and cluttered in the communal areas at the back, and we sometimes had to...

With only 10 rooms, Maldeniya, the kind owner of this quietly, tucked away guest house, is able to provide visitors maximum service. Splendidly colorful rooms, ceiling fan, chandelier like bed nets, woodened window frames and tiled floorings. Wonderful western style or traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts. Potted plants and shady trees adorn the back yard, hence, The Flower Inn. A quiet...

Lovely welcome, lovely place. Great location, excellent value, hilariously colourful. The breakfasts were plentiful and good value for money. We didn't sleep very well for our two nights there as the room was very hot - at night it was actually hotter than outside. We wish we could have opened the windows but were warned against it as it is...

This is a budget place with simple accomodation. I had a spacious room. No mosquito nets (or broken) at windows but a net for bed was there. Friendly staff. No WiFi. Very cheap place with good location at main strip and not to far away from rock and museum (15 min walk). You get what you pay for so don't...
