Travelled with 2 families, we had booked 2 weeks ahead. The place was dusty, even the rooms, the bed sheets were not to our liking. Only attraction was the pool, which was not clean, it was full of dried leaves and insects. This place has no views, and I am sure there are better places to stay nearby. Would never...

This hotel was booked by our guide for it was near on one of our activity that afternoon, and it was also cheap so we agreed to stay at this place without a idea on what the place looks like. We didn't expect much about the place, so we were surprised to see how big and spacious the rooms are...

The house is beautiful, traditionally built, only 4 bedrooms, lovely atmosphere, large cool rooms, hot showers. Jayanthi is the perfect host - friendly and welcoming, really helpful and such a good cook!! The pool is very welcome after a long hot day.

We stayed at Ficus grove 3 nights and loved the personal feel, the peacefull atmosphere and spacious rooms. Kids loved the pool and the owner showed us her cooking every night. Food was so nice. Highly recommended.

We were invited to a business lunch here so had a good chance to look around the place and sample the food. It is a delightful, welcoming bungalow. Rooms are basic but clean. The place has a really pretty garden, a pool and a front terrace. The food was delicious - simple but good Sri Lankan rice and curry. We...

We were a group of 10, spend 1 night at The Ficus Grove in October 2016. We had brought all our food and drink to be prepared at the place. The food we bought had been partially gone missing, I don't know how because it was all kept in the kitchen and refrigerator of the house owner and we didn't...

It's not Only the charming enviroment, nice rooms, beautiful garden... Even the pool. The Owner is the most adorable person in Sri Lanka, that you will love 5 minutes after arriving there. Incredible cooker that even made us a Sri Lanka cooking master class. Don't miss it, you'll earn a grandmother far from home

Just spent 3 nights there as a family. Habarana is a great location to see many of the local attractions. The place has 3/4 rooms and is very quiet. Plenty of hot water and nice showers. Open plan lounge and yes there are mossies about but the owner sorts the rooms with protectors. Lovely pool out the back which was...

We stayed for 1 night (Dec 2015) of our sri lankan tour and wished we could have stayed longer. This was the most wonderful homestay situated in the middle of the jungle with the elephants not too far away! The host was very welcoming and only too happy to help in trying to assist us (we hadn't brought the correct...

We stayed 2 nights at The Ficus Grove. It is located very close to Habarana, which is a very good location to explore Sigiryia, Polonawura, Ritigala and the National Parks around. We arrived late in the afternoon taking a refreshing bat on the swiming pool, and eating a lovely and tasty home made rice and curry provided by the owner....
