Our trip was as part of a group tour staying in several hotels. This was probably our least favourite. The set out meant long walks to the rooms which were not clearly signposted. The rooms were quite dark and looked in need of refurbishment. The bathrooms were clean enough and the beds were comfortable. Our room was quiet but other...

We were on a group tour of Sri Lanka and while our first hotel was excellent, this hotel...the Sigiriya Village Hotel was not. The pathways around the resort were dimly lit and the cottage style rooms not easy to find. I would call this accommodation basic, even though it claims to be three star plus. The lighting inside our room...

Great hotel with spacious rooms and bathrooms. Great bar area. Food at breakfast and dinner was very good with a good variety of Sri Lankan and western food. Service is very good and the grounds are lovely. Good free WiFi. Beautifully maintained grounds. Great beds and very quiet rooms.

Its a good hotel. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Food very tasty. Hotel itself offers much scenic beauties. Historical Sigiriya Rock and many other historical places are easily accessible. We had a peaceful drive along the nearby roads, watching beautiful scenes of semi-wilderness.

Beautiful hotel styled like a resort with gorgeous mature trees and vegetation giving it a calm relaxing & fresh atmosphere. I loved that there were all types of birds, especially their resident black & white ducks which would sometimes park themselves at the base of the lobby entrance, peering in whilst live music played...as if to join in with the...

We stayed in one of the superior cottages which have seen better days and are in need of refurbishment. With 120 rooms, this is a much bigger resort than we had expected and we were told that there are plans to build 30 more rooms. They are clearly targeting large tour groups arriving in coaches and on more than one...

My wife and her sister were staying here on 1 and 2nd Feb when her sister had a bad fall. The hotel staff came to their assistance immediately, provided a wheelchair, took them to hospital with four members of staff including a lady to help. Stayed with them during all the consultations and small operation. Laundered the soiled clothes, provided...

The hotel has a feel of a resort. We arrived after sunset and it was raining so everything was very dark. From the surface, the hotel looks grand and beautiful. The room looked like a standard resort room. But we found the room has a very moldy smell. The shower has no hot water. The air-condition was very loud and...

I enjoyed my stay here. One of the people in the group had trouble walking the great distance to the bungalows but I think a ride was available if she had asked. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The kettle in our room did not work and they changed it in a flash. Laundry was done fast too. The...

As December is a peak season many hotels were fully booked and luckily got an opportunity to get a room at Sigiriya Village. Most of my friends have recommended different hotels in this area and didn't say much about Sigiriya village. But I was pleasantly surprised of the service and the lovely environment of the hotel. They have awesome range...
