What can I say. Everything was wonderful about our January 2014 stay here. The rooms were beautiful clean with a small outdoor area, the location was perfect, and the staff was excellent. How many hotels do you stay at that have fresh coffee beans and...More
We reserved one of the Deluxe Suites for our two nights in Bocas. Our views over the bay were wonderful to watch the sunrise, and we had a double balcony to sit and enjoy the warm nights. Loved the spacious living room with full kitchen,...More
Just stayed 1 night at the end of our trip to Bocas...loved being in town for our final night, no early morning water taxi needed. Great location, very spacious suite, comfy bed, real ice! Would stay again, gorgeous early morning sunrise from our balcony :)
Location is great located right on the main strip and the suite is legit awesome. It's 2 bedrooms with a very spacious living area along with a patio + hammock. It definitely has a wow factor when you first walk in. Worth the price if...More
I can see why Jimmy Buffett stayed at Hotel Palma Royale! We spent our sunsets and sunrises from the deck off the master bedroom looking over the ocean. We could just imagine Jimmy here with his margaritas as we sipped ours.
The hotel is centrally...More

Bocas if pretty quiet. You can, however, walk across the street from the PR and there are water taxis and for a very nominal fee will take you to some great beaches. In the same location there are also tour companies. Also, the wonderful Front Desk personnel can assist you with all of this.
The room we had on the 3rd floor had a bdrm. with a double (as I recall) bed and there was another bed in the living room. It was perfect for two females.
You will need to fly to Panama City into the International Airport. You'll then need to get a cab to cross town (an hour or so, depending on time of day) to the domestic airport for the hour flight to Bocas.
We landed at 8:00a at the International airport and had a tour guide meet us. He was fabulous and showed us Panama (canal, Old Panama and other sights),and then took us to the domestic airport for our 4:00p flight to Bocas. It was a fun day!
We also spent the last night at an airport hotel in Panama City for our early-morning flight the next morning.
I hope you enjoy Bocas as much as we did!

Thank you for your answers Larry and April! No, we are located in Town on the Main Street within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, etc. We are across the Street fromthe Sea, so you will get a sea view in most of our rooms. We recommend several nice beaches to visit during the day. Red Frog is about a 7 minute boat taxi and Bocas del Drago is about a 30 minute drive by land. They are 2 of the best options for swimming beaches.
