Clean, quiet, with a nice looking pool area. Yet otherwise not very hospitable. We were welcomed with a long list of rules, as you'll also find them on signs all over the place, including the fines you pay if you don't follow them. The advertised bicycle rental was not available. The wifi didn't reach around the corner to our room...

Best place in bocas del toro! Everyone that is part of the staff here is so helpful, rooms are cleaned daily, comfortable beds with AC. Super close to all the best surf breaks and a short cab or bike ride to the city (2 dollar cab fee, 10 minute bike ride) free pancake breakfast in the mornings! If you are...

Had an amazing time at the Pukalani Hostel. We arrived after one night in town and could not have been happier of where we ended up. Great location on the water just outside of the of town, which is still easily accessible by boat or taxi. The Caraballos and staff made us feel like family. The hostel is kept really...

Cannot thank the Caraballo family and all the staff at Pukalani enough for a wonderful week! From the moment we arrived, Juan and his staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and welcome. Travelling with one friend in a wheelchair, Juan even resulted to a circular saw to cut the door and make the bathroom...

We ran into the The Pukalani Hotel run by the Caraballo family by accident, we were on the way to Paki Point to take our three boys surfing. The hotel is not only well kept, clean, great social areas, right on the ocean but it also has a family environment that makes you feel at home. the prices are very...

I arrived at pukalani Hostel and was amazed by the incredible surroundings. A platform in the water. A big swimming pool in which you can actually swim and hammocks to relax. While having coffee I got to know Juan who is running the hostel and he is a great and friendly guy who is happy to help his guests the...

Beautiful inexpensive beachfront hostel that offers free kayaks. Private room was clean and had a fridge ,cozy couches outside of room to relax and friendly staff that accommodated requests(for extra pillows)with a smile...a great place to experience the island a few miles from town. Cheap cab ride to town($4 one way) if going out at night-seemed a little hairy to...

I love it. It is the perfect place to stay in Bocas, beautiful, cheap, convenient, neat and the owners are the nicest people I've ever meet: Cheerful, fun, friendly, and they give excellent service. They are located in front of the beach, it makes the place even more wonderful. To go there, is really good experience, I hope to return...

Having stayed in over 200 hostels around the world, this would have to be one of the worst. Firstly however the location is amazing. Right on the water with your own dock, but this is as far as it goes. The hostel markets itself as a 'surfing' hostel, close to the waves and run by a local shaper. I asked...
