As it is directly located next to the watertaxi jetty it is very loud and even during the day the TV is running all the time and locals watching their stuff. If it is dry season there is no water at all even the toilets are staying like it is...no buckets around, you have to organize this by yourself from...

Just what you would imagine when you book a guest room over the ocean with shared space w dive shop! There is a lot of bustle but all good vibes, staff is lovely, hammocks at end of dock are magical. Added bonus - - microecosystem on site with indigenous red frogs. A big albino bunny, ,Lucky the guard dog and...

Tio toms guesthouse is a nice place and offers some of the best food of the region. But I can see how some travelers may give it bad reviews if they're not used to Panamanian life and may suffer a bit of a culture shock. Things are a bit slower on islands and on top of that on islands in...

I stayed a couple of nights a few years ago and I remember it as the best place I stayed in Panama, really off the beaten track and authentic. Hosts were uber sympathic :-) and the view from the deck on the hamac was just heaven!

Rooms are rustic (typical for the island) but well-kept. The owner filters water so you can your bottles refilled which in a place with serious fresh water problems is great to have. He also provides home-made family dinners and hearty pizzas. His drinks are solid! The staff may appear a bit rough at first sight but warms up to the...

After booking confirmation and multiple emails with Tom I arrived, but no Tom, no reservation, no room for me, no help, they just rudely said to leave. I hung around for Tom, and looked around the area, and saw you can easily do better. The rude staff had no clue, and no interest......seems more of a restaurant anyway, and if you...

When we arrived we got an upgrade to the Bungalow, which has not just an own double hammock but also a beautiful view. The room itself was comfy and clean. Breakfast was not included but very delicious, (we were in need of good coffee after being kept awake by the neighbor's rooster) as well as the "Family Dinner" for 8$....

I have had the immense pleasure of staying at Tio Tom's for 10 wonderful day's. I stayed at a competing lodge first then visited most of the hotel and lodging accommodations on the island. Tio Tom's provided the water front experience that I was looking for, with convenient boat pickup and drop-off from the deck. The owner and his wife...

It is an idyllic view that greets you when approaching Tiotom's by boat. Set right on the ocean and all rooms facing the ocean you are tempted to jump into the water from the deck but then you realise that the water has a muddy brown colour from all the sewage that flows from this town into the ocean. The...

The most revolting experience ever - couldn't care less Chris sleeps in as late as lunchtime and smokes in the kitchen and diningroom - incredible noise from neighbours only subsided at 02h00 - only CASH is accepted. We were under quoted $20.00 on an excursion which caused us considerable embarrassment. Impossible to checkout before 08h00. There are dogs on the...
