So, you plan a trip to beautiful Bocas del Toro. Hotel prices seem outside your budget. But wait. The nicest, coolest, cleanest, most laid back relaxing hostal is not at Colón island. It is at Bastimento. Great rooms, great restaurant (I loved the vegetarían burguer), and Bastimento is just incredible. We had the greatest time in our trip through Central...

Overall I loved this place. The room was comfortable (sleep denied by the loud couple next door - yeah, that kind of loud) and the facilities are clean and very accessible. There is a good kitchen and the staff is extremely helpful. We even got a ride to the dock in the golf-cart when the rain was pouring. Great staff....

The hostel is nice, but I would personally prefer to go other hostel in Isla Bastimentos right on the beach or at Boca del Drago right on the beach, I you like hiking is nice to walk like 20 minutes for the beach, but I was expecting to be nearer and don’t walk too much The hostel doesn’t have any...

Watch out: Booked and payed for a private room (as listed). We, as most people will do, arrived with the morning bus from Panama City at 9 am. We knew about the very late check in (14/2pm) - but there was not much to do about that. No possibility of free breakfast (which would be included the day after). Therefore...

The formula is easy: 1. If Pedro is there expect: friendliness, effectiveness, great customer service, and a great experience that will make your stay not only pleasant but memorable! 2. If the other owner, Willy, is there expect none of the above. It can be understood if the owner of a business goes partying until 6 am when breakfast should...

Ok first of all, the previous reviews made me weary of coming here. I'm so glad we didn't listen to them! Apparently the management has changed. William (Willy) and Roberto are really friendly and helpful and you could see he/they were really trying to change the place with smart little ideas (chalkboards outside each room to leave messages etc -...

Bocas bound is a great alternative to the spring break feel of Bocas Town. The new manager William is wonderful and made our trip unique and totally awesome. It's by far the best value on Isla Bastimentos. I heartily recommend this place if you want a chill vibe where you can meet wonderful people.

Tom, the owner, is a super nice guy who will help you with whatever you need (trips to different places, special food, or even sports-events on TV). The food prices are very fair and the dishes are tasty and well sized! The rooms are like rooms are at hostels, and the pricing is fair. There's always some sort of event...

Besides Bocas Bound being secluded on a beutiful jungle island- with access to beaches, jungle trails, and water taxis to the itger islands- the staff & management are very accommodating! They made sure we had a comfortable stay and were very pleasent to work with.

I couldn't believe how bad this was. Upon entering the room, the odor of mold was overwhelming, and the floors were constantly wet and puddled for both nights that I spent there. I developed horrible, itchy, unsightly hives all over my body that went away when I left (FYI, I am not hyper-allergenic, and have never had this problem before)....

“"semi-private" can get loud. With or without amorous neighbors, the walls are thin . Dorms I hear are nice or try a full-private.”

“If you're going to stay here, stay in the dorms, they seem to be kept nicer and they have more space.”

“1. The last water taxi leaves at around 5:30, you should check to make sure you don't get stranded like I did... 2. The allusive nude-beach is a bit of a hike, and not really necessary since the locals tolerate topless sunbathers, however, if you want to make the 2.5 mile walk, you will need good footwear, as once the beach ends, you have to walk through the jungle a bit to get to the nude side.”
