I stayed in the dorm cabin at the back of the lodge area. It was pretty standard for a dorm room, bunk beds that sleep 8, big lockers for your stuff. The food was really good at the restaurant and the beach was beautiful. I would definitely suggest taking the 30 minute walk to Polo Beach. Polo was really cool,...

As the weeks drift away from the time I spent at Palmar, I can't help but think back to the abundance of wonderful memories I had staying there: walking along the beach, incredible dinners of fish and coconut rice, talking to the lively and friendly staff, restorative and strengthening morning and afternoon yoga in a studio facing the beach and...

We stayed for four nights. I would not recommend 4 nights, that is too much. The beach is very nice (it rains quite a lot and there is absolutely nothing to do when it rains). We felt quite uncomfortable at times, because it seemed like you were in the way of the staff just having a good time. I think...

Hands down the best part about this place was the beach, which is beautiful. The restaurant is right on the beach and has lots of seating to hang out. I stayed at Palmar for 3 nights and while I loved the beach, I started to feel a bit trapped and actually cancelled my 4th night. Before you stay, note that...

Hi Anna, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're really sorry to hear about your experience with our staff. This is normally one of our strongest points, as you might find in looking through our other reviews. We have a total of 20 Panamanian staff, and anywhere between 4 and 6 foreign work-exchange positions at a...

I spent a full three months at Palmar Beach Lodge, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. You simply can't get more off the beaten path than you get here. It is right on the beach, and in the blooming rainforest, and there is no trashy tourist sites around, so it is VERY authentic. Also, the...

Their restaurant is a no nonsense place at the beach with very nice people that make you feel at home and serve you the best food with lovely cool drinks with a big smile. We had a top night and left with a smile

We stayed 2 nights in the dorm. The dorm has nothing special. I'm sure the tents are way better. The showers are terrible. Even for an eco-hostel that only uses rainwater. Having to push on the button to get a few drops of water every 4 seconds is annoying. The restaurant is right on the beach and has a beautiful...

Palmer Lodge is a jungle oasis on a very secluded part of Bocas del Toro. Unique Private Safari Tents made our stay unlike anything we had experienced in Central America. I loved listening to the tropical rain beat down on our glamorous tent knowing that we were 100% dry. This is more like glamping! We found it all too easy...

The setting is lovely and we wished we had booked here. Wifi only for guests. The place had a lovely feel to it but the water appeared to be surf oriented. The deck had lounge and sitting areas. The beach had hammocks and hanging chairs among the trees. The food was good and the staff was friendly.

It is a such a nice place to stay all your vacations. The experience was incredibly, feeling like you are really in the jungle and a wonderful beach just in front. The staff are amazing and the food too. Some nights we have a lot fun and party with the staff. Love this place. Totalmente recomendable, tanto para divertirte como...
