We stayed at La Loma for 2 nights in mid March. My wife and I wished we had reserved 4 nights after the first day there, it was that good. What a magical place and people who run it. We reserved a cabin on the hill, which has a nice river gravel path leading to the main lodge and bay. The...

I have been to Panama many times, and have taken several trips to Bocas del Toro before, but never have I found such a beautiful, magical, peaceful place. Our cabin (#3) was a few minute hike into the jungle canopy, and worth every step. The room is rustic and luxurious at the same time. The room can sleep a family...

Wow. Everything about this operation is top notch and wonderfully well conceived. The open air cabins are spacious and comfortable. Having coffee and muffins brought to our doorstep each morning was a real treat. But it is the people of La Loma that make it such a treasure. Henry and Margaret are truly lovely. They have been refining their approach...

If you want to experience the ambiance of Bocas del Toro's rain forest and a sustainable eco tourist destination, then La Loma Jungle Lodge is the place. I recommend the upper cabins with their ocean views and tree top locations. I have lived part time in Bocas del Toro for the past 14 years and have been able to make...

It's really a magical place--to fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle all around you is bliss. Steve and Karen were the hosts the week we were there and they were so much fun and so accommodating. Definitely do the jungle hike to the beaches! The massages in your room are also heavenly. It's a perfect escape with fantastic...

This is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed, with an ideal combination of privacy, sensory experience and small group activities. Henry and Margaret have created treetop cabins that feel like you're living outdoors while also being in your own private space. We took a snorkeling trip and also visited the idyllic Zapatillas islands, and had three incredible meals...

We went on a walk at the chocolate farm and had lunch. The owners, Henry and Margaret, could not have been nicer. Jamie took us for a tour of the grounds, pointing out the various plants and trees. I learned a lot about plant life in jungles that I didn't know before. We then a a delicious, healthy, homemade lunch...

I will never forget this trip. Henry and his wife are the best hosts you can imagine: attentive, always available, very nice and welcoming and care deeply about their guests. I stayed with friends for a couple of nights and the cabins met high interior standards while allowing the experience of an open cabin which felt like you live in...

The chocolate farm tour was fabulous! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Henry is extremely knowledgeable and him and his wife were very hospitable. The tour was about an hour and a half with a delicious lunch provided by Henry and his wife. We would highly recommend this attraction!
