Stayed here for 6 nights in dorm 206.

The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from Ashram metro station next to a petrol station. The quickest way to the entrance is via the petrol station where there's a yellow coloured gate near the air machine.

The hostel appears to be a converted hotel with former rooms converted into dorms. I stayed in dorm 206, which was a 6 bed dorm with an ensuite bathroom. Each bed came with a slide out locker, which was large enough to hold even the biggest of backpacks. You'll need your own lock to secure the locker. The bed comes with a private light, one electrical point and a privacy curtain. The mattress was comfortably firm and the bedding smelt clean. The duvet is thick and I found it enough even for the cold December weather in Delhi.

The bathroom is fully tiled and pleasant to use. There's hot water available day and night, for both the shower and in the sink. The staff clean both the room and the bathroom everyday.

There's no key or card for the room and door is left open most of the time. In fact, it has to be otherwise you wouldn't be able to get in. One time the door was closed and I had to get one of the staff to let me in because there was no one in the room. All my stuff is locked away when I go out, so it didn't bother me that much.

The room doesn't have any chairs, so it's either sit on the bed or downstairs in the lobby, which is the only other common area apart from the cafe area. The cafe has a decent selection of food and drinks and the prices are quite reasonable. Most of the items on the menu are Indian options, and a few European inspired dishes.

There are several WiFi points in the hostel, but they all work well.

The staff are generally quite nice, friendly and they all do their jobs efficiently. Location wise, there's not much close by. Most of the main attractions of Delhi will be accessible via the metro, but probably a minimum of 20 minutes away because Ashram metro station area is quite far out from the centre. Generally the location is fine unless you're pressed for time to see things in Delhi.

This hostel is absolutely superb, the staff are friendly, helpful, full of local knowledge and go the extra mile. The facilities are cleaned daily, rooms are spacious, air conditioned, large lockers for the bigger backpacks, free wireless internet in the lounge along with that the common areas with lots of in house games and movie night.

Breakfast is good specially the chole bhature.

It's location is in the centre of Delhi and it's an easy walk to get anywhere but it's on a side street, right opposite the metro station.

At night and weekends, they'res lined up events and shoutout to the community manager “PUSHPA” she takes care of every event and make it successful.
Along with this the staff Arpita and Dev they were so supportive and helping.
I have travelled solo there and never felt like alone on a single day all credits goes to them.

I stayed in a 4 bed mixed dorm and no complaints whatsoever - of course reviews like this and the ones below makes this a popular place to stay, I don't think there was one day when this place wasn't fully booked - book early.

I would recommend hostellers specially to explore yourself and have a great time solo or with group.

The Hosteller is really the ideal destination for a pocket friendly location in Delhi. Just about 5 minutes walk from Ashram metro, the area is surrounded with good availablity of buses as well as autos an very easy location for Uber to arrive. . Not to mention

Cafe, forming a part of the hostel, hosting great evening events and a menu combining unique dishes and old favorites.

The rooms are unpretentious, clean and homely. A great place to meet new people.Daily events at the evening to meet new travellers as well as engaging in the community is really very good. The staffs proactively help out in situations.

Room was so small but they took the picture in a particular angle that you won't understand till you see it in reality. I was very sick and the ac temperature was fixed that you can't decrease or increase. I had 2 options;either tolerating that temperature in cold weather or turning it off and switch the fan on. Fan speed was too fast as well. Overall that room made me sick. One more thing, they don't sale mineral water though they have filter water. But I only prefer mineral bottled water and hence, it was trouble for me. Thank god it wasn't too late I ordered through an app and got it on time. Overall it made me sicker. Disappointed

My husband, two sisters, and I came here in December 2022. We had payment issues with our online booking company and when we arrived the rooms we thought were booked were actually cancelled, although we had made a payment. My sisters had just came from the US and we were checking in at 3am, so we were stressed when we heard this. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful and allowed us to squeeze together in a room until we could figure it out the next day. Then, when the next day/evening came, we had an issue with a tuk tuk driver who dropped us off from our day exploring. There was a language barrier and the driver was drunk and aggressive. The new set of people at the front desk were also extremely helpful. They helped translate and resolve the issue with the driver. They were super nice and made us feel like we weren’t going crazy (lol).

Other than the extremely helpful and nice staff, the showers were hot, towels were nice, lobby/hangout area was super cool and perfect for people looking to make friends or just hang in between travels. Bed was comfortable. The showers have certain times of the morning and evening that they have hot water. This was not an issue for us. We did not eat the food but we saw people eating it and it looked good enough for people needing a little something to eat. We also ordered dinner through swiggy and they easily delivered it. It was fairly easy to grab a tuk tuk or an Uber pick us up, but if we were in a tuk tuk going back to the Hosteller they didn’t really seem to know where it was.

Overall great stay and we’d definitely do it again. We’ve been to the Shimla Hosteller and didn’t have nearly as good of an experience as the Delhi Hosteller.

Great place to stay if you’re travelling solo or with friends. All the hostel rooms are kept neat and hygiene, however towels are chargable, although it can be availed by paying extra price, so consider carrying them along. The prices could be a bit less for toiletries. Great vibe overall.

It's the perfect place for bag packers. The room we took had a lovely cozy feel with a window as if we open that then it's a bit noisy. And the rates were the best part. But with good rates like these you cannot expect perfection. But still cleanliness is up to the mark and laundry that were given were freshly laundered to feel fresh.

Amazing place with chill vibe. One of the few places in Bir which are happening after dark. Network and have good conversations over bonfire. The location is good to 10-15 mins walk to all major points, including landing site.

Harry and Rishi are amazing hosts!!

I have been here 3 times in a row, in total coincidence every time I got room 209!! but this time with my friends, feels like far away home. Near to metro, extremely helpfull well behaved staff. You can order food, experiences, complaint, ask for cleaning right away from your mobile. Coming to the best part, can't forget the Jhenga night, meeting Pushpa The Community Manager from our place like that, and there of all places, was true serendipity! she made our stay very easy, engaging, unforgettable by organising events even on her official leave. Very jovial and hasmukh person. Thank you, The Hosteller and team for the wonderful hospitality.
