The hotel is magnificent- from the rooms, to the food, to the spa, everything is perfection. But the best part of all, and the most difficult thing to come by in life, is the kind and truly compassionate wonderful people who work there. I am traveling alone in India and stayed at the hotel for a night passing through Delhi on my way to Rishikesh (my stay was incredible, by the way)— I decided to take a car to Rishikesh, as I heard it was a better option. I made a huge mistake of not booking a car via the hotel to begin with, and trusted a driver (arranged by my travel agent to bring me from the airport to the Lodhi the night before) to take me. The driver turned out to be very dangerous- acted very professional until we reached the highway outside of Delhi, so I had no idea I was in danger- long story short, he worked for a company and tried to make money off me on the side, but his company realized once we were on the highway and he tried to kick me out of the car, tried to remove all my luggage and leave me in the middle of nowhere on the side of the road, and not knowing what else to do, I called the Lodhi and they literally saved my life. Mr. Avinash from the hotel, who is so kind and wonderful, kept in touch with me the entire time and sent Mr. Subhash to pick me up (and effectively save my life) and drive me to Rishikesh in the middle of the night. I will be forever grateful to Mr. Avinash, Mr. Subhash, and the Lodhi… I am moved even recounting the experience. The kindness and compassion Mr. Subhash showed me was comparable to none- he is one of the kindest souls I have ever had the pleasure of encountering in this life, and my gratitude to and respect for him is endless. Thank you again, so much from the bottom of my heart, for your kindness and professionalism. I am eternally grateful. Mr. Subhash is an amazing driver, I felt incredible safe and calm the entire trip, and he is truly an incredible human being beyond words. He has worked in the travel industry for 35yrs and is truly the most knowledgeable person I’ve met during my travels- exceptionally kind, professional, and such a kind soul. Thank you so much 🙏🏼 I recommend everyone to choose the Lodhi for your stay in Delhi- they truly care and are incredible people with kindness, compassion and integrity, and the hotel is top notch on every level. Always grateful ❤️ Love, Angelica …
Location - Excellent and well placed to major attractions as well as CP Staff - Quite warm and welcoming. I would like to call out few names from front Desk such as Vivek, Faheem, Amit, Abhi, Roshimi, Muskaan etc. I have read several feedbacks terming some of them rude but in reality I was quite comforted to have them around during our stay. Right from Vivek, Amit to Faheem and others, they took great care of ours throughout our visit and made our stay as comfortable as possible. Rajat, at the dining area along with Sahil and the other attendants had been great. The food was fabulous and delicious. They don't hv a buffet spread but the quality of food is simply great. We are a family of 4 we all enjoyed the plunge pool. That's a great way to relax and our kids had a great time throughout the stay. Yes, at times you may hear sound from surrounding rooms but thats due to the design of the room which has huge balconies needed for the plunge pool per se. the hotel has policies to avoid the guests from making noise and are quite helpful in case of any such request. the room attendants - Arjun and Nitin were excellent and very helpful and were always there to help and support where needed. overall, quite a nice trip and we will definitely come back to The Lodhi..…
Very good and relaxing experience with my family. We had great time together. The staffs were very supportive and were polite. We would like to visit again with friends and suggest them to experience the same.
We had a very short stay but spectacular. We enjoyed the spa a great deal. The rooms were outstanding. The private pool was just a big plus! Found the coffee service hard to understand and not terribly tasty but every other item was right on point. We dined at Indian Accent and so delicious. The Safari bar was a great stop as well for a cocktail before dinner. Enjoyed a hair service fr the salon and super pleased. Just a terrific experience.
Booked two rooms here for our family of four. Price was reasonable for the size and the actual physical structure of the rooms is excellent: huge bed, mountain of pillows, lovely deep soaking tub, giant private pool (cold.) But the upkeep of this property after 10 years of having the Aman management removed is severly lacking. Staff are friendly enough and that is a plus as is the location. But, when you look closely, the hotel is in serious need of a rebranding. For example, our and our daughters' suites (really they are just large rooms) were told to us as "identical." However, ours was larger, was on a corner and had a better view. When one looks at the shower fixtures, the bath white goods, etc. these varied by room. Maintenance was extremely crude and all of the precision of Aman days is now covered with layers of glue, caulk and paint. Think of someone maintaining a Ferrari for 10 years with Ford parts ... it works, but isn't the same. The spa is actually a members club with local residents using the facilities mostly. My wife and I booked treatments as did our daughter. The spa somehow messed it up with my with being short changed on the treatment finishing early and mine running long. Bizarre ... treatment itself was very good no question with that. Food was mediocre. We all ordered room service both nights and was fine but what one would expect from a mid-tier Marriott but at inflated prices. We didn't get to try Indian Spices - which is supposed to be very good. The breakfast buffet was also mediocre and unispired: probably the worst of our 4 hotel stays in India. The private pool was awesome looking but too cold to swim when we were there. We were told by our room check-in attendant that they will heat it - but only to 28-29C which isn't very warm. Anyway, would be nice in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Speaking of warmth or lack thereof ... the public space and lobbies do not seem heated (why? --- to save money IDK?) anyway, it is very cold in the corridors. FYI. In room air purifiers are a good touch and made the room air better for breathing. Everything LOOKS amazing at first but scratch the surface and it is just mediocre. Unfortunately.…
Amazing stay I have stayed here on my first anniversary everything went well. Muskan from guest relations helped me alot in making my stay comfortable. From welcoming us to checking us out she was there! Will visit again very soon
We have a peaceful and comfortable stay at the lodhi, Muskan took care of most of our requests for my wife’s birthday and made our stay pleasant and peaceful. The property is epitome of luxury and calm, the rooms can do with some upgrades though
The Rooms is spacious and clean. We came here to celebrate our daughter birthday. The staff is very cooperative. We were assigned 2 designated cleaning service provider namely Jagdish and Sanjay ji, there were very cooperative and took at most care. Our experience was very good. The pool is the main highlight.
This hotel exemplifies Luxury. Lodhi is probably the best luxury hotel in New Delhi. Spacious rooms with well-appointed amenities, great Restaurants and Bar. But the most valuable item in the hotel are the staff members. From the Doorman to Housekeeping, they excel. The concierge Beethika was amazing. Icing on the cake was the presence of GM and his interactions with guests, Manager Rajesh always seemed to present and helping . Overall, an excellent experience and look forward to our return visit.
We had a gorgeous stay here to celebrate our wedding anniversary- will definitely be back when in Delhi! The staff were attentive and polite, they went above any beyond to make sure we felt spoilt on our special day with cards, cakes, flowers and balloons! The spa treatments were also exceptional.
