We stayed here for three nights. Ruuma and Sylvie both made us feel very welcome, and as we were not too well after several weeks travelling, Ruuma arranged for us to see a doctor. The home stay is in a wonderfully quiet location although the main roads nearby are hectic. It is very close to the wonderful Humayan's tomb and...

I stayed at Amaaya after 3 months in India. It was my final spot before departing. Ruuma, the proprietress was an absolute godsend who made me feel so welcome. This is a homey little spot, so just know if you stay here, you will feel right at home. Very quiet. Location was good for what one does in Delhi (sightseeing,...

Ruuma, the host, does an amazing job: She does everything to make her guests feeling comfortable and "at home". For me it was a special experience – to be in a rather extreme city (hectic, loud, challenging) and still be able to come to a place where I felt save and sound. The house is perfectly quiet and located in...

I stayed at Amaaya with a friend after our original booked accomodation was overbooked and the owner suggested us to go there. It was worth it. Ruuma is a very pleasant person, she takes care for guests and gives you good advice about where to go for Food etc. The place is in a very safe and quiet Area and...

Amaaya is a very pleasant and welcoming place to stay in Delhi. The lady who runs it is kind and personable, and very accommodating. Guests essentially use a room in her home so the decor and furnishings are lovely but if you are looking for a very private hotel-like experience then this is not your place. However, if you need...

Located conveniently to the Int'l Habitat Center where my conference was held. It was a short taxi ride of 15 minutes and about $2 per trip. Location is in a central location. The place is clean and you ARE living in someone's house but you dont feel like you are intruding. Breakfast is simple. I ate a yummy omelette and...

Coming back to Amaaya at the end of our stay in India was like coming home. Many thanks to Ruuma, the charming and sophisticated host, her warm and sensitive hospitality and her advices, which helped us organizing our stay in this exhausting city. Although the city is very dusty, Ruuma's guesthouse is always perfectly cleaned. Together with Silvie's delicious meals,...

It was a true pleasure to stay in Amaaya Guest House while on a recent working visit with two colleagues. Nizzamuddin East feels like a stately tree-lined oasis amidst ever-busy Delhi: a pleasant and safe place to go for walks in the neighbourhood and to nearby temples. Also at walking distance you will find some shops for snacks, fruit and...

We were booked at the near-by Eleven B&B but were contacted about a week before our arrival saying there were plumbing problems needing fixing. Ajay (from Eleven) was apologetic and very helpful in arranging our accomodations at Amaaya. Ruuma (Amaaya's owner) was very helpful as well, so what could have been a stressful scramble for a new place was no...
