This is a really relaxing place to come back to after time spent in hectic Delhi. The staff are excellent, particularly housekeeping manager, Savio Decosta, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We liked the friendly feel of the place because some of the larger hotels can feel a bit impersonal. It is also set back from the road so you can escape the traffic and car horns and the grounds are a delight. It is an easy walk from Civil Lines metro station which is the best way to navigate The city. There is also a good cafe and restaurant here.
Great sorroundings, beautiful energy and exceptional service from the team. Always going the extra mile and exceeding expectations. I really enjoyed the meals that we were served and the service offered by the F&B team. Reception specially the night staff was an example of emotional hospitality. Really recommend this Hotel if you come to Delhi.
This review is about trying to stay at Maidens in which we failed! I had contacted the hotel in October 2022 trying to book rooms for my family. After finally choosing a room, agreeing the charges and services, I was relieved. But just ten minutes later, at the point of paying, the hotel management informed me that my selected room was not available. How did the room booking change while I was trying to pay? I’m sure our room was given to someone else at short notice or the booking manager is not corresponding with the exec team- see the reviews below, it seems to be a common experience. Either ways, the management seems really unreliable and unethical. So go ahead and book at your own risk!
My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon and it was definitely a highlight of our trip! It's an oasis getaway in the middle of a very loud and busy city. The service that we received made us feel so special. The peacocks roaming around the grounds made for relaxing coffees in the morning. We truly enjoyed every moment. The food was also delicious and the chef was so nice and accommodating. We couldn't recommend this place enough!
This place is amazing with good people and the positive vibes from the staff. I stayed here for 5 days and felt like home. Beautiful heritage hotel with excellent ambiance. The staff from the time to checked in were excellent in service. There was not one glitch during my stay. The kitchen staff made it sure we were served well. The housekeeping staff were amazing. The front desk made us so comfortable during our stay. Within minutes the problem or any issue were solved and managed very well. I will stay at this place again and again. Thank you everyone for making our stay so special. Love you all.
Lovely heritage hotel, a sanctuary to explore Old Delhi from. Upgraded to a premier heritage room - great mattress and nights sleep. Nice gardens and a really good swimming pool. The Indian food at dinner was superb and a wide choice at breakfast. It is a quiet hotel and a refreshing change from the characterless international chains. Outstanding service from managers and staff. Highly recommended.
We are a couple ( 2 doctors from Egypt ). We have been traveling all over the world ( more than 65 cities). So we stayed in so many hotels before. Location of Maidens hotel is so good ,in a safe and descent area, less than 200 meters from metro station. Security employees are so good and very hospitable also. Reception staff are excellent, do more than their best to help in all aspects. Room and bath room are big, clean and always kept clean. Breakfast is great and very clean and healthy. Having a tour in the gardens and around the pool of the hotel is so relaxing. The staff is always one step ahead to fulfill your needs before _ even _you ask for. "Superb Hospitality" could be another title of Maidens Hotel. If you are visiting Delhi _ please _ think about staying at Maidens Hotel as the First choice.…
Maidens is a beautifully elegant hotel and very well run. The staff are consistently welcoming, charming and thoughtful. We enjoyed a swim in the lovely pool, and enjoyed the great breakfasts with a good range of choices. The location suited us well with the metro conveniently close by. All in all, it was a most comfortable and delightful stay, and I hope I get the chance to visit Maidens again.
Although have visited New Delhi multiple times before, have always stayed in the centre of the city (i.e., in and around the Connaught Place). This was the only reason why I was skeptical initially as Maidens is slightly off track (say about 25 mints drive from Connaught place and about the same time by Delhi Metro). Also that much extra travel from the airport (since the Airport Express metro connectivity isn’t direct and it’s easier to hire a car/taxi from the airport directly to avoid hassles). Don’t regret that decision now. The hotel, staff, service is just marvellous so that extra effort to travel didn’t bother at all. The hotel building itself is so beautiful, so is the entire hotel complex with beautiful green spaces and a lovely swimming pool. The food at Curzon restaurant was lovely - again the staff was so attentive and amazing. The breakfast was lovely too, the garden restaurant is beautiful and relaxing. The room (we opted for a premier room) was large and perfect, no room to complain. Overall, beautiful old hotel worth spending that extra travel time. Just go for it!…
I picked this property because of the reviews and they were all accurate It's a tasteful, early 20th century original property. Appropriately and comfortably decorated, quality linen, comfortable bed, quiet room and very spacious. The service is immaculate. I can't comment on the hotels proximity to Delhi attractions because I was in transit and was picked up the next day
