This places offers the best pizza topped with fresh veggies. They bring it soo hot that it serves as a clear feast. The service offered by the place also always amuses me for being a customer centric organization

Lamb chop with the very same taste as was 3 decades old . Topping up the meal with the legendary ice-cream Rum Raisin . Sunday evening well spent in the company of college friends remembering those old good days at Nirula’s - almost 30 years ago

I went there for Ice Cream. Nothing was great. The overall experience was ok,

I went there as a child so wanted to go again. But it was ok. I dont have any great things to write about my experience.

Yes the place was clean, and was cool. In the hot humid weather its important that the indoor the places are cool and pleasant.

Lost the old glory and the staff looked far from any sense of commitment or hospitality. It took almost 30 minutes for our order to arrive. Badly Managed and really got a bad taste. I had visited this one after 25 years and had a unpleasant nostalgic experience

We are a couple from Finland, we had a very bad expericene with the widely recommended three star Nirula's hotel in Delhi, India. We had ordered a pickup from the airport, but no one from the hotel showed up. We waited in vain a couple of hours before taking a taxi. We never got any explanation or apology from the hotel.
The safety box in our room was broken so we put a part of our money in a safety box at the reception. Two days later a big part of our money was stolen from the safe! We complained about it, but everybody just said that it is impossible because it has never happened before.
There was also an attempt to cheat us when we were changing money at the reception.
Without these experiences the hotel would have been quite ok. But as it was we strongly recommend to avoid hotel Nirula's!

We stayed a couple of nights at Nirulas Hotel located in the Connaught Circus area. We considered the property because it was recommended in the Rough Guide to India and the pictures looked good on their website. We were disappointed.

The entrance to the hotel is unimposing and looks from outside like a hole in the wall; the Nirulas large restaurant operation appears to have poached a fair slice of what used to be a very nice British colonial hotel. The reception area is tiny and the few staff appeared to be overwhelmed. We were finally checked in and I got a rude shock when I was told that the rate that I had booked the room at (and had prepaid online) had been revised and that I would be charged a higher rate (about $15 more). I protested that I had an email from Nirulas confirming the rate for the booking period --- but nothing would move the cashier. I paid up.

We booked the rooms at Nirulas for the start and end of our India trip. The first room we were booked into was very large but looked awfully tired. The two bedside lamps were skewed and the door lock was not working; it took more than an hour and a couple of reminders for the lock to be fixed.

We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The food (buffet) was faux Western and not impressive. The service too was without any enthusiasm; eat here only if you must because there are other nearby choices. Same goes for lunch/ dinner. An expensive Chinese restaurant occupied one part of the lowest floor but no one ever seemed to be in it. A fast food operation by the hotel is around the corner (you must go outside) and appears to consume a lot of staff energy. The fast food joint appears to be popular with locals needing a Western food fix but, again, is not satisfying.

The room we got on our return visit (as I said, I had pre-paid online, so had no choice but to return) was on the third floor and was better than the first. It was clean and had a decent bathroom. Bot the whole place is dark, musty, and dingy-looking. This property would have been lovely 50 years ago and there were hints of this in the corridors that led to our second room but Nirulas need to invest funds to freshen up the place.

In favour of the hotel, though, is its superb location close to all the Connaught Circus shopping.

centrally located, at the heart of Cannaught place, great location, well conected. Clean, spacious rooms, with all amenities and spacious corridoors. Nice and friendly staff. Maintains strict policy vis a vis visitors. Priced slightly on the higher side, maybe this premium is being charged for the locational advantage. From Burgers to Pizzaz to Kababs all kind of foodie is available. Great place to stay if you have work around Connaught Place and also if you are using the Metro.
