Well, we stayed here in May 2012 & had done the booking well in advance by directly contacting the owner of this property, Mr. Abhay Dogra, a very decent gentleman.. He was very kind & the whole staff was helpful. They also arranged a taxi for local sightseeing & travelling to Manali, Rohtang Pass & Chandigarh(which eventually was because of...

I stayed here last year with my college buddies....First of all, I would say it was a nice place to stay. When i first say the resort it was pathetic from outside...but when i went inside the hotel it was good. Rooms were good enough for 3 persons to share. The food was not food. But i think food will...

I booked this place ahead as we were advised Shimla in May gets very busy - we found this was not necessary as there were plenty of rooms about. Hotel Firhill is set away from the main town, near to the train station. The walk into town is dangerous due to the road and terrible driving conditions. It took us...

We stayed in rooms on the top floor which are by far the nicest. When we arrived we first viewed the 3 bed apartment and then the rooms on the first floor but they were both a little tired and not so nice. The rooms that we stayed in on the top floor looked like they'ed been refurbished quite recently...

Hard beds but comfy enough, clean, good en-suite bathroom, tv and wi-fi in room. Good, cheap food brought to your room. It is quite a walk from the centre of town and bus station (20-30 steep climb on busy road), good price for Shimla.

Helpful staff. Quiet location. Decent value for money. Room very cold in January and one bar fire at an extra Rs150/night barely helped. Warm bedding though. Lack of restaurant and lounge meant that there was no socialising to be had. In truth I wish I'd paid a bit more for a better hotel nearer the centre of town.

Shimla is Himachal pradesh capital. This city always used to attract me because of Toy train it runs. Its wonderful ride with toy train Shimla-Kalka 96 km distance. We reached Shimla via Kasauli by Taxi. The hotel is on highway only. A typical himachal hotel, one side on road and other side in valley ! Their reception is on 2nd...
