A beautiful building in a beautiful setting. Like being in a 1920s movie. Room was good size and amenities were fine especially when we found out how to control the aircon (very hot) Staff were friendly. Not many food choices especially in buffet and the dining room was very cold. Reasonable walk into town. Best part was the setting.

This is a great place a bit out of Shimla (actually in little shimla) which is old fashioned and takes you back in time. The decor is charming, rooms are big but need bit of maintenance - our rooms wooden floor was damaged, staff is really friendly and helpful and restaurant serves descent food. Overall very good value for money....

This is the first bad revue I have ever posted and to be fair I will end with a positive. We arrived late afternoon after a long couple of train journeys from Delhi There wasn't much of a reception but we (a party of 16 all 60-75) all very well travelled People. Went off to our rooms. Ours was warm...

Hotel is run by owners not Welcomegroup . This is not for you if you want a modern professionaly run 4 star chain hotel . However if you are looking for a Nostalgic trip back to the british Raj with decent comfort this might be your cup of tea. The guest rooms are in a Modern wing with mod cons...

Unlucky that we arrived during a cold snap, and even with two heaters, our huge room didn't get to 17 C. in 2 days, and the bathroom, also huge, was freezing, and no heaters! However the hotel itself, the bar and restaurant are just great. Funnily enough (per other comments) the only real warm room was reception! However we would...

I stayed here for 2 nights on Jan 31 and Feb 1, 2017. It was very clean and comfortable! As it was winter, it was cold outside, but the hotel provides heaters. I had a beautiful room complete with 2 heaters! When I ate at the restaurant, they brought me my very own heater and places it close beside me....

Stayed 3 nights as part of group. Stained pillows , grey sheets and threadbare carpets.Needs a good cleaning. No heating in reception rooms except small electric fires. Big new extension being built, some money should have been spent on main building.

Lovely looking old palace, but like every heritage hotel in India nothing has changed in since it was built. I came 20 years ago with a friend and at the time we thought it was lovely so when my parents and now husband decided to go to Shimla I suggested that we stay there - be this a lesson to...

You have to like the english style and yes ist a Heritage Hotel. But for me the atmosphere was amazing. I could feel the history of this place... with the Pictures, decorations and stories behind this place. Food was ok. Staff friendly. Its a bit outside but you can walk easy on a nice little street to the tourist center.
