I was there in shimla with two of my friends. We chose this place because of its location, its away from the chaos of mall road but still near as its only 1km away (by walk). Shimla at that time experienced a heavy snow fall because of which the city experienced electricity failure and stortage of water our hotel experienced...

Do ever visit this hotel. It is very far from Mall road. Staff is very rude and egoistic. For example: at the breakfast we asked for omelette the service man said it will take 15 minutes. We asked for puri bhaji his reply should be ok but no he will say it will take 20 minutes. I mean you got...

We stayed in the upstairs big family room and it was great to have a good sleep after our train from Delhi was canceled and we had to drive to Shimla from Delhi. The rooms were big, with a nice balcony and bathroom. The shower didn't work well, and we had to use the bucket! The WIFI was good, but...

Its a very nice, quiet and cozy house outside the hustle and bustle of the town. The house spoke of the warmth and care with which the hosts have maintained it. Beautiful lush green lawn overlooking the mighty snow capped mountains.. was exactly how we had pictured the place to be! We were elated to discover that the house was...

Such a warm welcome, and situated out of the chaos of big Shimla, we loved this place. Our favourite in India so far. The hosts made us feel like one of the family. The food was lovely too. We had dinner and breakfast. The heritage charm is just lovely. A few hours spent enjoying card game in the sitting room...

A break away from the rush, a pause in the fast lane, Springfields is meant for those who wish to have a relaxing holiday. This hotel is a small one with only 11 rooms, what makes it special is the wonderful staff and the beautiful view that one wakes up to. Most of the rooms open up to the valley...

We stayed at Springfields for 4 nights in Nov 2016 and I can say without doubt it was one of the highlights of our 5 week Indian holiday. As others have pointed out, it is more of a homestay than a hotel, which is why we loved it. We booked the family suite which is on the top floor and...

The Springfields is perhaps a bit overpriced by Indian standards, but it's a lovely old building, with a nice garden overlooking the east side of town and the Himalayan foothills. If you stay here, do talk to Vijay the owner, who's family were Maharajahs in a part of what is now Pakistan before having to flee in 1947. He will...

I was told that this beautiful hotel was 120 years old and it used to be a palace. Some of its furnitures were from back then, I love the architecture and the room I stayed in was very charming. The staff were very friendly and food was excellent. I would have love to take my tea in the garden but...

My partner and I stayed here for two nights while in Shimla. Property is a little out of the central area of Shimla, but is a pleasant walk to The Mall if you stick to the side streets. Property itself is a charming old Shimla residence in the English style with period furniture and decorations, which we did like. However,...
