This hotel is a little way out of the centre of town, but that's about the only downside. It's a wonderful historic building, each room is different, and breakfast and dinner in the garden is a treat. I was in the writers' room, which was lovely until some other guests' children started charging up and down the wooden stairs early...

On our previous visit to Mysore 12 years ago, we stayed at the Green Hotel and loved its history and that it is run with a high level of social consciousness, supporting education, employment and empowerment of otherwise marginalized people. So when we visited this time, there was no other hotel that we considered. Once again we opted for the...

Stayed here for two nights in January 2017 while on holidays. Quaint hotel with lovely gardens. We stayed in the separate hotel block to the actual "palace". Rooms were huge but basic. We were very comfortable however. Really enjoyed dining at night in the garden area. Also enjoyed having coffee and afternoon tea in the cafe, service a little slow...

The Green Hotel, has a long and interesting history and it continues to be a fascinating place. We stayed in the “Bollywood Suite” which was cool, comfortable and had a lovely shower with lashings of hot water. The food was wonderful and the very kind and patient staff, realising this was our first time to Southern India, were patient and...

We had dinner at this hotel. Food quality was very good and tasty. Ambiance was very good. Good parking area. Service was excellent. We had vegetarian food comprising of North Indian items. Overall we were very much satisfied with the service and the food provided by the restaurant.

It was a bad experience coming here. It's very expensive, far from the city center and the quality and portion of food is mediocre. They take you for a stupid person, a place that should be totally avoid !

Arrived to find the room inside the oldest part of the hotel, the one you see in the photo, was not ready. I was put into a room in the adjacent old rectangular section. The room there was quite nice with older style furnishings. Later I was transferred to a room in the original building which was once a movie...

We enjoyed our stay at the Green Hotel. We had rooms in a block alongside the garden - they were very basic but had a working shower and toilet! It was nice to sit in the garden of an evening and the food was ok. Service was generally good I wold go back if I go to Mysore again.

This hotel is a complete con. You book a room thinking that you are booking into a nice old building. Instead most of the rooms are in a block in the garden. They use the excuse of 'Eco', to provide nothing. You get a bare room, with glorified camp beds and no curtains. It is also next to the highway,...

What a delightful place! The Green Hotel is a real gem. The main building is very attractive with marble, pillars, plants, comfy seating and air conditioning. My room was full of character, yet hidden away so I felt like a character out of an Enid Blyton novel. It was comfy, cool and with an ensuite that had plenty of hot...
