This not a review of the hotel. I had taken a visitor ticket to walk around the hotel. The ticket is Rs.100 per person and they let you roam around for one hour. You get a complimentary tea or coffee from their restaurant.
Lalitha Mahal was one of 13 palaces owned by the Maharaja of Mysore, and is some 4km out of town. My visit was intended to be a nostalgia highlight moment on our tour of south India, unfortunately it turned into a real disappointment.

Never visit this mahal...chief security gaurd takes Rs.200 and just show ground floor..waste of money..corrupted people.. nothing to see in that mahal..when we visited huge wedding was going on..so he told you can see only ground floor and they have made hotel

Regular Rooms. If you are looking for plush modern rooms, LM may not be a choice. It is rustic, Royal and old world charm hotel not so greatly maintained, but good enough to live with AC, clean bath and bed.
