The guesthouse is opposite the popular Pearl Palace guesthouse where my friend was staying. I decided to check out Chitra Katha and was immediately charmed by the desk staff Uzzwal and guest relations officer Amit. My room was cute, clean, quiet and extremely functional. The bathroom was freshly refurbished and the water was hot. Exploring the rest of the house...

Nice clean room, hot shower, good food in the rooftop restaurant. For a budget hotel it provides everything needed. I found the staff to be pleasant, particularly the day time receptionist. Our room was next to the restaurant (double room) so was a bit noisy at times with the kitchen through the wall. the other room our group had was...

We stayed for few 5-6 hours in this hotel and found it to be good. Room are well appointed and equipped with clean and nice bathrooms. They have a beautiful restaurant at the rooftop which serves decent food and offer a nice serene environment to dine. Wi-fi was excellent. Overall I would love to stay at this hotel again!

We had booked the cheapest room deal with price being sub 1000 rs without breakfast . Hotel is situated in the residential calm area (though not far from main road ) next to the Hathroi fort , with many more hotels around it . Staff was helpful and service was good . It has a rooftop restaurant with OK food....

1000 rupees for a double room with fort view and satisfactory food but still we get an OK and that's not really okay with us. We actually end up expecting people to appreciate the value they receive. We must be crazy! But then the rest of the review is sweet and to the point so there's nothing to complain but...

Pros - walking distance to the train and bus stations (around 1km), reasonable distance to the pink city also. Very warm welcome and helpful advice on local transport, well presented room with TV and fan, bathroom had the the best shower I've had in a month of Indian hotels. The WiFi was fast and reliable. We had a good breakfast...

This is a great example of how to review a place without sounding condescending. The likes are delightful and the ones that you dislike is also the obvious wear and tear which the management keeps a close eye on. The fans and taps were replaced recently so I hope it wont bother other guests. Thank you once again! cheers.

The ambiance gives a heritage feel and the fort view is delightful in the evening. Try and get the room at the rooftop, will help you spend beautiful evenings in solitude. The flipside is the average quality of food.

We stayed here for a night. The place and room were a good value for the money. However, the staff were not very professional. I asked to go to the night market. The one guy didn't even know if there was a market, and the other guy said that there was. So he said something to the tuk tuk driver...

I think we have replied these kind of reviews over and over again. How is this review related to our hotel? As far as hotel room and service is concerned you have rated it well. But for the sake of clarity and sanity, let me reiterate the point for the last time that the tuk-tuks are not owned by our...

I had a two nights’ stay with my wife at Chitra Katha hotel in the second week of October 2016. As with any online booking , I had a trouble-free check-in and check out here as well. Although not very spacious, the room was very nice, tidy and well appointed,. And the bathroom was squeaky clean too -with hot water from...
