My husband and I stayed at the Tranquility Hotel for 4 nights in January. We enjoyed our stay and it was a bargain as only 700 Rs per night for a double room. The location of the Tranquility Hotel was perfect with only a short walk down the hill into town. Being up on the hill, our room had great...

We were sick and stayed here. Hospitality was amazing!!! Very clean rooms! Hot water bottles at night, wifi in common room, lots of blankets, and friendly staff with perfect English. Hot showers in room (but they only last five minutes). Views are beautiful on the clear days from rooftop. Definitely recommend!

Worth the walk up the hill. Staff were welcoming and attended to our every need. We stayed in the winter and they provided hot water bottles each night. The rooms were clean and the bathroom had hot water. Wifi provided in the common room downstairs only, and switched off at night.

Bright simple clean rooms and friendly environment, cosy travelers atmosphere in the lounge downstairs and helpful family management. The owners know everything you also need to know about Darjeeling and the nearby area. The first moment we saw our room, after three days traveling from Europe and two nights in horrible, old, dirty hotels without flair, we immediately felt home:...

A great friendly hotel.had amazing views from my room and the rooftop. As it was cold they gave me hit water bottle and lots of warm blankets felt at home here. In a good location not far to walk to chowrasta squad where there are nice cafes and restaurants.

Clean room with large windows, hot water, good wifi connection, away from the crowd and jeeps but within easy reach of all places of interest in Darjeeling. But most of all friendly manager who gives very accurate and valuable advice.

Really enjoyed our stay here whilst we were in Darjeeling. The hotel itself is very lively with lots of travellers around. The rooms are clean and quaint, and for once we had hot water which was amazing! Although the downsides, the wifi is turned off by about 9.30pm at night and is only available in the lobby! Because it's so...

I'd stayed in Darjeeling somewhere before hearing good things about this place so I swapped, kind of wish I hadn't. There's a nice common area to sit and read or meet people but other than that I had hoped for a better experience! Wi-Fi is turned off at 9, not that I travel searching for hotspots but if you ever...

Clean hotel with triple and double rooms, for only about 300 rupees pp when sharing a room. Friendly/helpful staff. Some great views from the roof terrace. Only problem would be the 10.30 curfew, especially on weekends. Not a big problem though.

After being rejected by countless other hotels due to them being full, stumbled across this little bad boy, although it was recommended by other travellers. It was an arduous walk up a steep hill with backpacks, but that allowed for spectacular views off the rooftop (weather permitting) The staff spoke fluent English and were really helpful and friendly. They only...
