During covid its a big challenge to stay outside but in the park I found truly correct environment to stay. The proved to me was neat and clean and fully sanitized. I loved it. Service like housekeeping is outstanding and staff like mr shyam is truly good. Loved the location and the city view. Food is also truly very good. Nice friendly environment to be here. Thanks.
I stayed at The Park for three days. The room I was given initially was a disappointment, but a shout-out to Sadya who changed it the moment I spoke to her. I loved the view from the room. It was vintage Calcutta! The Park is all about its location. The evening walks on Park Street, with all the famed Calcutta street food at hand left me very happy. The shopping hub of New Market, eating joints of Park Street like Peter Cat, Flury's etc are incredibly accessible. Would love to stay there once again.
Starting from an unsmiling receptionist to the shaky plumbing to d nerve racking experience at d buffet....it all speaks of a slow rot setting in d Hotel. Saying this confidently as had spent almost ten months in d Hotel in 2017-18 courtesy d Airline. The Hotel seems like an unhappy place now. The saving grace is hard working staff in house keeping. Buffet was a mess with guests waiting for plates & dish holders waiting for refill. D buffet floor manager was running around blaming d Chef!! Lot of nervous energy & anxiety in d buffet staff creating an unpleasant atmosphere and an inefficient way of working. Stop d rot, pl
People were going crazy and said it's the best property to stay in town and I went there because of that, but, from check in till morning it's the worst experience I have ever had with a so called 5 star Hotel. Check in took atleqst half n hour and kept on waiting. First the room which was booked they said is getting ready. I mean really. It's 8 pm in the night and the room is not ready. Considering the fact the guy gave an upgrade stating it's a Suite. Relaxed with it came to the room and guess what, the lights of the room were not working. Had to call the technician. He took good 20 minutes to fix and later I came to know that the TV of the bedroom is not working. He took again 15 minutes to fix it. Done with this when sat in the living room of the suite to have drinks and dinner, saw that the TV of the same as well was not functional. I mean wow. Called reception and the technician took half n hour to come and later to fix it He took 1 good hour. Are you guys really serious about your property or its just the Legacy of the name is going on and you don't care about your rooms being a 5 star. The only thing good was Food and it was very nice. So many Spider Webs in the room and so dirty walls I can't even imagine. Have attached one or two pics. Guys please grow up and change the star to 3 or 2. You guys really need to work hard on your rooms and your staff and If you can't then I am sorry to say but you guys can't be a 5 star Hotel or this is a kind of joke. Not worthy to stay if the hospitality is not good. …
It was a very pleasant visit. The location is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and professional. The room I stayed was spacious. Even during such tough covid periods the hotel is following all the protocols. Their hospitality and ambience is great
