What a great place. It is in south Kolkata in Swiss Park. It is also an art gallery. The rooms are well appointed, clean and have loads of personality. It is really small, so you get to know the staff and other guests almost immediately. Off on a side street it is quiet in a city of constant noise. The...

Bodhi Tree is one of those gems of places that you are a little reluctant to share because you don't want to let the secret out. The staff are helpful, the hotel is located within easy reach of a metro station. The rooms are individually decorated and the beds are comfy. The food is good, and the Indian plate element...

I have nothing bad to say about the Bodhi Tree. I've stayed there with two large groups of students (11) twice and had an amazing time. The staff is extremely accommodating and the rooms are beautiful. If you are looking for a unique place to stay this is a great option, the combination of the art gallery/ hotel makes for...

I was in Kolkata as a solo traveler for a research trip for grad school. Bodhi Tree is not only a feast for the senses, its owners are also very committed to social entrepreneurship and community building. There's a lovely policy in place to offer a safe haven for women travelers and those working on advancing the community by offering...

My fiancee and I had bookings with Bodhi Tree spread across our two week visit to India visiting friends and family. Booking with them was a breeze, with very quick informative replies to our inquiry. The property is removed from the main thoroughfare, and is quiet, while still being easy to reach and find, which was perfect as we just...

The Bodhi Tree was a peaceful escape whilst staying in Kolkata. Full of character, with each room decorated on a different theme, it was like a home away from home. Having 4 rooms including the apartment, it meant we had access to a kitchen with fridge in which we could store our drinks, as well as a lounge area to...

To be fair, Bodhi Tree was undergoing major renovations when we were there and hence was not displayed in its best light. The staff were friendly and helpful and we must thank the owner specifically for saving the day and taking us to her tailor to get last minute clothes alterations done prior to a wedding we were attending. We...

Hi, we thank the guests for their review, and would like to give our response. Every year, we keep improving Bodhi Tree, and add facilities to make the property even better. We are doing some major improvements now, and the upgrade work will be completed within a week or so. We are introducing a guest washroom with shower facilities, where...

Bodhi Tree is an extremely well designed guest house with each room having a unique touch. I happened to stay at Kalchakra - Bengal, which was an ethnically designed and furnished to give a real feel of Bengal. Bodhi tree has couple of other themes like Rural India and others which you will love to stay in. The artistic touch...

The Bodhi Tree is a fantastic boutique hotel! It is actually two floors of a family house, where the owner lives on top. Only five rooms and if you take two rooms you can have a whole floor to yourself, complete with kitchen, fridge and a family room. The owner is a lover of art, so the place is full...

With an affordable rate, bodhi tree was like entering into an artistic space of kolkata... and like all bengali art, it showed character and vision. the rooms...
