The staff were so friendly and very helpful - they were very patient even though we didn´t speak any Portugese! The rooms were comfortable and the common areas were excellent, kept very clean by an avid gardener! We really loved this hostel and the people we met.

The first impression of the hostel was really positive and it continued like this. Nice staff, good breakfast and however we did not make use of it, they had a pool. The wifi wasn't working all the time in the room, but in front of our room, in the common space, they have a spacious area with hammocks, picnic tables...

The only hostel I have ever stayed in with a pool! OK, it was not the cleanest pool ever but for the price, it was great. Bathroom could be with an update but bed was comfy. Good breakfast and friendly staff. One small problem- wifi only worked for me when I was close to the Reception area i.e. not in...

This was the perfect place to stay for Carnaval! The breakfast is great, the rooms are clean, the pool and hammocks are fantastic. What a great spot to relax from the craziness of Carnaval. Its not right in old town, but you can get to all the blocos in 5 minutes. And one of the big stages was set up...

We paid R$150 for a private room with bathroom. For this high price we got a very simple and dark room, no towels and no air con included, the sheets were washes but had plenty of dust on them (maybe somebody put the ceiling fan on?), the bathroom was not very clean, breakfast simple (scrambled eggs but no cheese, ham...

We stayed here for 2 nights in a 4 bed dorm. Everything was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. Some of the staff were really friendly, although their English is limited, but some were not so friendly and acted a bit like we were an inconvenience to their day. This was the cheapest hostel we could find, and...

I stayed here mid June during the FIFA World Cup 2014 for three nights and what a good choice it was. Much more affordable than accommodation in Recife but easily accessible from the airport and city centre via bus. Olinda itself was quite a quaint town (locals would tell you the first in Brazil but that's up for debate) with...

We shared a four bed dorm with some friends which were basic but clean and tidy. The hostel has a very nice setting in restored old buildings, keeping in with the feel of Olinda, with landscaped gardens, out door eating areas and large pool. Located on a busy road, access by car can be difficult but they do have off...

We stood at this hostel for two nights. It is not in the old town but you can get there with a 5 minutes walk uphill. The Hostel is nice, has a big commun area, swimming pool and a nice back garden with barbeque possibility, we did take advantage of this and cooked our own lobster and shrimps (bouth near...
