I was impressed by this place! Very cozy, well-equipped and centrally located. It's the perfect choice for those who have made appointments at the US Consulate in Recife (less than 10min walking distance) - There's also free parking available which was great. The room was very tidy and clean - the minibar is empty however you can order directly at... More

First, for the Price it was fine. If you expect a normal hotel, it is not. It more like a bed and breakfast. There were only 5 hangers and it was extremely noisy. I could hear people in the halls like they were in my room. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. Excellent air-conditioning. No iron in the room. Lot's of... More

This turned out to be a perfect place to stay during the World Cup. The price was reasonable (<$150 per night), the location was good (close to Derby Plaza, which is a major transport hub) and the room/hotel was modern and clean. There is not much going on in that neighborhood (day or night), but it's an easy cab or... More

I was expecting less than a hotel, but this place is great! Very clean, new, homely ambiance. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast as well! Location is good, but far from the beach. Would recommend to anyone visiting recife and looking for a bargain!

If you are looking for a more traditional place that feels more like a friends house, this is the place. The decorations and the layout is very cute and the staff is very friendly. There is a taxi spot very close so it's easy to get a taxi. The only downturn is that some rooms are facing the breakfast area,... More

It's very helpful to people interested in get the US VISA (my goal). You can walk to the American consulate and save money with taxi or another transport. It's not so far from Recife Airport. The rooms are clean and confortable.

Pousada Villa Boa Vista is situated on the edge of Boa Vista and Derby, two of the better old and historic neigbourhoods of Recife. The safe area still displays a wonderful mixture of 1930's, 1940's and 1950's houses, more recent apartment blocks (some of them with a piece of art near the entrance, e.g. Francisco Brennand!), schools and hospitals. Even... More

My daughter and friends arranged for me to stay here for a week in May, 2010. The hotel was charming. The stalff was incredibly hospitable, friendly, and accomodating. The rooms were very clean and the airconditioning felt great after a day at the beach or touring. There was a secuity officer on duty each night and safes were available in our... More

Nice social areas just as pictured in the website, but the room is a bit disappointing. My room window faced an inner courtyard so for the sake of privacy I could not open it. The air conditioning equipment was noisy. Kitchen staff is very kind and friendly, but do not expect yogurt along with your breakfast.

This place is great--super friendly and helpful staff, delicious breakfasts, bright and well-lit rooms, and most of all--very, very clean! They will prepare food for you just about any time of day, and you can eat in the dining area or they'll bring it to your room. It's also close to some great restaurants. The immediate neighborhood isn't ideal, in... More
