Pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was, complete with a living area and a nice “kitchen nook” with microwave, coffee bar and refrigerator. Plenty of space to spread out and not be on top of each other. Room and bathroom seemed clean. Bed was comfortable and shower had plenty of pressure. Check-in staff was super nice and got checked in quickly. I think this might be our go-to hotel when in the area - you really can’t beat the price for the space in the room. Only downside was either the parking spaces were too small or people just can’t park (I’m guessing the latter).
It was ok but NOT COVID TAKEN CARE OF the bathroom was not properly cleaned hair all over the tub, the floor wasn’t vacuumed, and the counters weren’t whiped down it was a POORLY TAKE CARE OF ROOM I personally work at a hotel and things were not done like they were supposed to been especially with COVID out right now
This place was a good choice as we wanted to be outside Mobile and closer to Florida. The bathroom needed a bit more attention. The breakfast burritos were a good, option as they were frozen and easy to heat in our room. Fruit, muffins and yogurt were a few of the other options.
This hotel needs to become stricter with their staff with covid restrictions. There are signs all over the hotel stating that everyone must wear a mask in public areas and that they are maintaining special cleanliness standards. This is far from true. Three days in a row I reported to the front desk that housekeeping was not wearing masks in the hallways. I got the response..."I'll let them know, Oh???, Nodding, and Ok". First and foremost, they should know by now and nodding won't take care of this problem. Twice it was the same housekeeper and today a different one. Obviously they need more training regarding infection control. They even walked through the breakfast area right near the front desk like that. If we didn't think they were observing precautions as stated in their website, we would not have stayed here. Also, asked for the daily paper advertised and they said they cancelled it. Then they should take it off their amenities on their website. The room was fine. No problems there. Breakfast, although understandably different with Covid, could be a bit better. Staff were friendly and willing to help. No housekeeping per covid standards but that was ok. Hotel was clean. Their covid sanitation and standards need great improvement.…
We stayed in one of their “accessible” rooms. The toilet was tall enough but NO bars!! The only bars in the whole bathroom was one bar on the tub. The tub was not otherwise accessible. They had a seat presumably for the tub but it didn’t fit unless turned horizontally. That could’ve worked had the tub had a handheld shower - but it didn’t. Can’t imagine that the room was ADA compliant. It was large enough for a wheelchair but not to access the bathroom. I did give a star for the staff. They were very helpful and cheerful. Not much they can do about the facilities. The internet was barely useable. I got better reception without it. Definitely won’t stream. Just all in all a barely adequate stay and my afterthought was that we should have paid a few dollars more and stayed at the Holiday Inn next door. …
