Could have stayed for days. The historic cabins have been remodeled in past years and have nice counters and updated baths but still rustic. Of course you're in the wild so don't be surprised to have little creature visits. The view from the bluff is good but the trees could be trimmed back a bit for an even more awesome...

I loved staying in the stone cabin on the ridge!! I felt like I was living in a cross between a Pioneer life with a beautiful view & a storybook!💞💕 I wanted to stay longer & we do plan to go back & stay longer. The furniture is made from raw wood, the stove top has a grill & there...

Lots of potential, but in need of some TLC. Everything in our chalet worked, but could have been cleaner. I was ready to give our stay at Cheaha State Park chalets a negative review until I found out the reason the chalet we stayed at was not up to expectations. Alabama has been robbing the Department of Natural Resources of...

We stayed at a full service campsite in a motorhome. No problems there, easy access. We did not check out the bath house. Like the other reviewers, the place is a natural beauty, but poor management is obvious. Attached are pictures taken of overfull dumpsters. One was next to the visitor's center and the other at the campground entrance. These...

Just spent a week at Cheaha and it was a wonderful experience. This is an awesome state park and it offers so much. There are 2 museums, a overlook tower at the highest point in the state, campgrounds, hotel, cabins, chalets, a bunch of great trails, a swimming lake, a restaurant, a great store and the best staff to serve....

We stopped by the restaurant at the resort knowing that the view would be second to none, and it was! We ordered hamburgers and a sandwich. They were all average but good quality items. It was all well-prepared and tasty, though they were far from the best burgers we've eaten. However, they were probably the most reasonable burgers and sandwiches...

Located on the top of Mount Cheaha, the highest point in Alabama, this state resort is worth the drive just for the views. We did not stay overnight so I cannot attest to the lodging. We ate lunch late--buffet with great fried chicken but not so tasty veggies by then. But my grandson and I drove up for the views....

We really enjoyed the views from Cheaha State Park and the rating would have been excellent except that I feel the $5 per person charge is too much for what is there. We only went there to hike, we did not stay at the lodge. There are only three trails to walk in the park, we did two of them:...

Spectacular views, abundant hiking trails, waterfalls, wildlife, and lush scenery in the surrounding Talladega National forest make this a wonderful place for nature lovers. Unfortunately, inadequate state maintenance funding has degraded the facilities, as evidenced by the suboptimally maintained restrooms and other facilities; the staff, though pleasant and helpful, is clearly overworked and understaffed, obviously through no fault of their...

The view is worth the visit. The staff was helpful and friendly. As far a the rooms are concerned they are a bit dated, but we're talking about a state park. There isn't wifi, but there are plenty of other things to do. Be sure to check out the restaurant's view and pool.

Thank Matt M
