Sanibel 1106 is a beautiful condominium with a breathtaking view. Bring your binoculars so you can watch the dolphins play in the Gulf.

The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and staples for cooking on the property. We utilized the charcoal grill on the ground level. The linens, pillows and mattresses were incredibly comfortable, and everyone slept well. The condo was clean and tidy. The living area is large enough for a family of five to sprawl out and watch television when a pop-up shower rolls through. The space is well laid out and didn’t feel cramped or tight. We stayed for a week and appreciated all the amenities Alex included with our visit.

We had to reschedule our spring break trip because of COVID19 inconveniences. Alex worked with us through those uncertainties and has earned our complete trust and respect. She is an effective communicator. She contacted us a week before our arrival to let us know what to expect regarding entering the property. She then called us after we had been there for 48 hours to ask if we needed anything.

We are currently planning a 2021 trip to the Gulf and staying in Sanibel 1106.

Currently visiting Gulf Shores. Staying at. The Sanibel. Very nice place I. Great condition. Beautiful view. Great access to the beach. Pool is a little small especially considering only 15 guests allowed with current corona status. Close to everything! Enjoying our stay.

This review is for the complex only. We rented through VRBO, and our unit was very nice. I would suggest booking through VRBO and searching for reviews of whatever unit you will stay in.

The complex is across from the beach. You have to cross a two lane street to access the "public access" area, because the complex does not have a private entry to the beach. The walk isnt long, but if you have a young child and other beach gear, it could be a hassle. The units in the complex have beach/ocean front viewing from the balcony. That being said, I think we have been spoiled on other trips with direct beach front access. The condo was spacious for us, since it was just my husband and daughter traveling with me. The pool was never crowded, and it was clean. They have a small workout room and a lobby with brochures and information on the area attractions. Overall, I would not be opposed to staying here again (and renting through VRBO) but most likely, we would opt for something with direct beach/ocean access.

We stayed in 603 and as soon as we walked in the door cigarette smell hit us in the face. Had to air out the condo and that didn't help much. Arrived on Saturday, called relax on the beach they said someone would call in the morning, in the meantime found a blood spot on the comforter, pulled the sheets of to wash just in case sheets weren't washed before we arrived, the mattress pad had yellow stains on it, the tv in the living room went out, asked for refund so we could go to hotel and was told by the employee he would see about that. Ceiling was falling down in both bedrooms and the living room the tacs hiding the carpet was raised and my son in law hurt his foot. Lots of correspondence I can share including a letter from I guess, the owner of Relax on the beach, stating he told his attorney to take appropriate action against me if I shared the info I spoke to him about. Everything I reported Relax On The Beach knew about, they said they told the owners repairs needed to be done, but they just ignored their requests. Received a email from the owner stating, she was sorry for the inconvenience and she would never want to have her condo misrepresented as this has happened to her family before. I requested half of my money back for all of the horrible problems and frustrations we occurred. I was told no, and accused of blackmailing. Apparently the owner use to work for Relax on the Beach and this may be why there is so much cover up. I do have all emails, texts and phone calls along with pictures.

We took our grandson and his friend for four nights stay. The unit is very spacious. But the master bedroom has a double bed?? The mattress badly needs to be replaced!! Very uncomfortable!! Also. The sheets on that bed are very worn and thin. The outside hall floods the room with light. It needs drapes over the window. The sofa and love seat are uncomfortable. The throne the tv is on is about 6 inches to high and you get a pain in your neck from looking at it? Buy a flat screen!! You should be able to afford it.....

Lovely condo decided to to rent this unit for my dad and stepmom for a Christmas getaway my stepmom has leukemia and has never seen an ocean so decided to surprise her.. But since we have been in this room it has been one thing after another first tv in bedroom wouldn't work called maintenance nothing so trouble shot and got it working ourselves woke up in the middle of the night to what sounded like a train coming through unit only to find lose rails on deck that need to be tightened down so decide to stay in and wait on maintenance and no they still haven't showed only to find VCR isn't workin in living room.. This is my third call to maintenance and have seen no one yet not the way I wanted to spend Christmas eve with my family. I pray the rest of this week goes better.

We stayed in one of the Sanibel condos during our recent visit to the Gulf Shores area. While the unit had visible signs of wear and tear, any concerns we had were offset by the responsiveness of Kaiser management. For instance, we reported that the icemaker was not working, but when we returned at the end of a long day of sightseeing, we found that it had been repaired and producing plenty of ice.

The complex is also in a great location, with public beach access directly across the street, and a short drive from the state park, grocery stores and the Coastal Arts Center in Orange Beach.

We stayed on the 14th floor or Sanibel (it has 17 floors). It was very nicely decorated and the complex was nice. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is that it's not directly on the beach. You have to cross a two-lane highway and walk east for about 5 minutes before you come to the public beach access. It doesn't sound like a lot, but when you're traveling with a 5 year old and pushing a heavy beach cart in the July heat it feels like a long walk. The complex was nice and quiet. I'd commend for families without small children (because of the beach walk) and without physical limitations (walking). I've attached a photo of the view without the normal zoom that most of the Sanibel rentals seem to use in their advertising.

We booked a 3 night stay to get away and not do much of anything...
arrived late Friday evening. Easy late pick up for keys.
Condo is large 2 bed 2.5 bath. Very clean. Kitchen is spotless. Fridge looks brand new.
decor is nice (not the typical cheesy beach decor)
Balcony is huge. GREAT views of beach
Only negatives is the beds have crap mattresses :( this was disappointing after a long drive)
Although the kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and such, there was no spices or cooking essentails. I was under the impression from bookit.com that that stuff would be available. Not a huge deal, just know to bring your own.
Overall pleased except for mattresses.
Fitness room and sauna are awesome. Pool closes at 10pm so no late night hot tubs, which is a bummer.
FREE WIFI- NICE!!
great stay- WILL return and next time with the kids

We stayed at the Sanibel 1603 which has 2 king master suites with full baths, as well as, a sofa bed with additional half bath. The unit was very nice with floor to ceiling glass across the living area so that all you see is the ocean. It is on the 16th floor, so even though it is across the road from the beach, the view is still great and has very easy beach access. There were a few minor drawbacks, the patio furniture is very uncomfortable, therefore we didn't spend a great deal of time on the balcony. Also, we thought there would be access to the lagoon for fishing at night and there is no access. The pool only goes up to 3.5 ft and is very dark. There were no pool lights even though it is open until 10 pm. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

I can only speak for our unit, but doorways were standard size. The tubs were regular home tubs and the toilets were in toilet closets. You can always email the owner, who owns many units in the area to see if the has and more easily accessible units or know anyone who does.

No. There is a 2 lane road directly in front of Sanibel. You will have to walk through the paved parking lot, cross the street then walk down about 1/2 block to the public beach access. It's a short, easy walk BUT if you are hauling beach items (chairs, cooler, kids, etc) it can be tiring. Also the pavement in the parking lot is HOT in the summer months. Meaning make sure everyone has on shoes!
tracy l asked a question Feb 2017
Hi, is this hotel beach front?
Answer from apmarsh71
Prague, Oklahoma51 contributions4 helpful votes
This condominium complex faces the beach. You have to cross a street to get to the public beach access. It does not offer it's own private access to the beach. It does offer spectacular views even though it is not directly on the beach, especially if you are on the higher floors.
