Detailed Reviews
We stayed in 702, unit was clean and the view was spectacular! Beautifully decorated and spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked to be able to cook instead of fighting the spring break crowds. A great place to sit outside to eat.

The condo was in a perfect location, walking distance to the attractions and located directly on the beach. The condo itself was spacious, clean and well equipped with those things needed to make a wonderful vacation. The value for the money and location was excellent.

We stayed on the 7th floor, great view and balcony. Parking was a problem as we had to park across the street 2 or 3 times. It was an experience just crossing the road, kinda like playing Russian roulette The last two nights of our 4 night stay, the people in the condo above us were practicing furniture moving until after 12 at night. Just had to stay up until they got tired. The beach was fine but lots of people. You could walk to several restaurants but you need to be in full vacation mode to think they are really good. If you were at home you probably would go once and never go back. Regardless, Gulf Shores and San Carlos condos were a pretty good combination. The parking issue might keep us from going back to San Carlos but if you're young and maybe ran track in college just go for it.

We stayed in room 1608. It was a great room. Nice balcony with great view, clean, comfortable, beautiful beach. The only thing I didn't like about the room was that the wet bar didn't have an ice maker so it was kind of wasted space. The only thing that I didn't like about the building was that there was very little parking. The 2nd floor parking was reserved for owners. The rooms come with two parking passes. We only had one vehicle but had to park in the additional parking area across the street several times. There is a 2nd floor parking area but it is reserved for the owners. For what we paid the owner of our condo to rent we should have had that parking available. I've never had to park across a busy four lane street before at the other condos where we have stayed and so I wasn't expecting to here. If I had known about this then we would have stayed somewhere else. Other than that, we were happy with the condo.

We recently stayed in San Carlos #309 and #1907. Both units are well appointed and offered most everything we needed. Minor thing and kind of funny, #1907 is overrun with spoons with only eight or so forks.
We did have an issue with one unit but Mary, in YSC Customer Service, was quick to respond.
We had a great time and look forward to our trip next year.

Great condos! Clean, well equipped and comfy. No maintenance issues at all... great balcony views and convenient location for restaurants, shopping, and more. Will definitely stay again when I'm in town! Family friendly all around and not overrun by college kids and noise

This was our first trip to the Gulf Shores, and we enjoyed our time at San Carlos. It is a great location and we walked to restaurants and shopping. Very convenient. The beach is great, and everyone is very friendly. We felt very comfortable here and enjoyed the property.

We were headed to New Zealand when our tip got canceled due to the Corona virus. Wasn’t going to stay in Indiana all spring break so over a 24 hour period we looked at both FL and Gulf shores AL. Really glad we did the San Carlos condi’s in Gulf shores.
Right on the beach, #603 is just like the pictures shown in the listing. The management company has checked on me the day after we checked in.
We could not be happier and we have done many VRBO properties over the years. Many don’t live up to their listings!!
Book this place and enjoy the trip!!

We had never been to Gulf Shores prior to this trip. Since we booked from an individual owner (Unit 605) I wont go into all the problems we had in dealing with her in this post, just leaving it at no way would I rent 605, and instead just stick to the overall complex for this review.
Upon arriving, the condo complex seemed nice. It is right on the beach and the walk is very simple to reach the water. The pool was nice but was very small for a complex of this size which translated into crowded.
Parking is an absolute nightmare at this place!!! We actually had to weigh in, "is it worth losing our spot to go somewhere and eat?" If you make the mistake of going to the second floor parking area then you better hope to god you find one. If not it is shaped like a "T" and you have no way to turn around without making a 16 point, Austin Powers, type turn around. Then on the very small lower levels you have to circle until you hopefully find one. The parking situation alone would prevent me from ever staying here again.
A plus though is they do have a security guard on property at night. He seemed nice and gives a little piece of mind. When we stayed there were also some "high quality" people staying. You could not enjoy unwinding on the patio because of all the noise. That was very disappointing as we had very much looked forward to sitting on the balcony and enjoying the ocean.
All in all, it was okay. I felt that we way overpaid for what was provided at this property. I would not hesitate to again visit Gulf Shores, but would not stay at this location again.

The San Carlos 1201 more than adequately furnished to accommodate large group of people. We had 9 during our stay and it was plenty big. There are three bedrooms and all have a tv and a bath room. The balcony view in the morning is really good. I would recommend this unit.

The condo that we rented #1408 was not pet friendly. You might want to reach out to the Service Desk of the condos complex to see if any of the condos in the complex are. That would be my suggestion. I didn't see any animals during my stay come to think of it. But they could of been cause people don't bring them to the beach.
Not in the unit we stayed in. I did see a dog in the building, so assuming it belonged to an owner.
