Condo 1207 was booked along with another for our family vacation. This condo was 3 bed 2 bath. Its in great location beach front and close to the hangout, surf style and plenty of places to eat. The mattresses in both bedrooms were not soft at all, they were like sleeping on plywood., we got very little rest . The towels were worn and also stiff. The place itself is nice , the decor is simple but has everything you need for a good stay except a kurig coffee maker .
Parking during our stay was a nightmare, we had to pay 55 for two extra passes only to not have parking because of deck construction. We were there a week and it was still happening as we left.
The pool was hot because the hot tub leaking into it and with 102 degrees weather no one likes a toasty pool. There is two elevators and one was not working so we had to walk down 12 flights of stairs or stay in all day and lose a beach day. .. Overall the condo was good and building good but Both could use some work.

The condos at Seawind are great (at least ours was anyway… I know each unit is independently owned & furnished). We stayed on the 5th floor which I thought had a perfect view of the beach. Our condo was very clean, well maintained and nicely decorated. We did have to get some extra toilet paper, trash bags, toilet paper, laundry pods & hand soap for our 5 day stay at the store, as what they provide to guests is minimal. But if you’ve ever stayed in a beach condo that is pretty common. We really had no complaints at all about the condo itself but I don’t think we will ever stay at Seawind simply because of the elevator situation. There are only 2 elevators for the entire building, and I’m not sure if 1 even worked the whole time we were there. It was hard finding an elevator to get us up to our room with all of our stuff when we first arrived, and it was nearly impossible when we left. We literally waited 30 minutes for an elevator that could fit our party of 4 and all of our luggage. Trying to haul all our stuff to the beach each day was no different. We ended up just taking the stairs each day going down and then waiting 10 minutes or so to be picked up from the ground level floor each day. This may seem like not a big deal to some people but from reading the other reviews I'm not the only one who sees this as a problem. I will also say that the pool area is pretty run down, but we came to Gulf Shores for the beach anyway.

We rented through Beachball Properties. Stayed in PH3. Condo is fine. Definitely nothing over the top. Kitchen was well supplied, two large bathrooms, two nice sized bedrooms and one tiny, tiny room(not really a bedroom, no closet). It would be much better suited for a bunk bed which would allow room to move around.
We stayed 5 nights. Air conditioning went out on the 3rd evening. We called the following morning and it was fixed by 4pm. On that same night we killed 3 roaches. Had never seen any prior, so assumed someone moved in next door that maybe brought them along. Room was pretty clean other than the dusting in the master bedroom as shown in the pictures. My biggest complaint is that there was never any follow up after our stay from beachball properties. Not a survey, not a thank you, nothing. It seems that if they appreciated their clients, they would at least reach out with some sort of follow up. Someone else will get our business in the future. Pool is actually in a different bldg and is fairly small. The kids splash area is nice. Good for infants/toddlers.

Penthouse 05. Where to start?

Limited parking, only 2 vehicles allowed for a condo that sleeps 8. Covered parking extremely narrow 2 person parking. They have signs stating Truck/SUV need to park outside, to park in lines and let your passengers out before parking. Half the covered spots were taken because a person in trucks/SUV would be over the lines or right on the line preventing a second vehicle from parking.

Very outdated! Building opened in 2006, ALL the TV's manufacturing date were also 2006, tv in the bedroom was unusable, huge burn in spot, the appliances were probably from 2006 as well.

The floor appeared clean, however, when you walk in socks or barefoot, your feet turn black!!! DISGUSTING! Baseboards look like they haven't been cleaned in months. Front bedrooms have no curtains, due to the security lights it was like sleeping in the daylight.

The building only has 2 elevators to service 152 condos covering 20 floors. For 3 days, 1 elevator was down for routine maintenance. The entire building lost water for half the day twice. Building is Smoke free, but the 2 condos surrounding us smoked not just cogs, but weed every day. Lot of people smoking on the "private beach" as well. Complained to rental offices, nothing was done.

Speaking of the "Private Beach"...The beach (and pool) was Not private at all. Because the public could easily access we were told you had to wear a wristband when on the beach or in the pool. There was no point in wearing them when nobody checked or monitored the access. We even stumbled upon a couple having sex on the beach one night while looking for crabs. Normally wouldn't have cared less, but we had young children present.

With a mix of a very outdate condo, lack of adequate elevators, no enforcement of no smoking or who has beach/pool access, limited parking, narrow parking, I could not in any way recommend Seawind Condos!

The pool is not heated as listed in the amenities. To say it is heated is laughable; it is not warm enough to swim in. The Coastline Management onsite manager claimed the pool was 80 degrees, and that people had been in it the morning I called. I could see the pool and hot tub from my balcony, and the few I saw try to get in weren’t there long and went to the hot tub instead.

Therefore, people also used the hot tub as a kiddie pool. We were there for a month, and that went on the entire time. I observed kids in there for as long as 45 minutes, which is very dangerous. I counted up to 14 people in the 8 person capacity hot tub multiple times. One morning it was green and smelled disgusting. No one posted signs saying to stay out or stating what was being done to rectify the situation. Later in the day it looked and smelled better, so people used it – yuk.

The onsite manager was rude. He and the guard shack employee sent me back and forth to get a visitor parking pass several times over a three-day period before I finally found someone who knew how to issue one, and $40 seemed quite costly.

We had a visitor who smoked. The parking lot is a wind tunnel, and the smoking area is right in the heart of that. If the no smoking on the balconies policy is to avoid flying sparks, the smoking area was far windier than our balcony. Our guest said it was often impossible to light a cigarette there, and ashes blew everywhere. He and other smokers went around to the side of the building.

I am far from the only renter who complained about these items. As someone who has visited this area over 24 times since the early 90s, I know there are many condo complexes better than this one. I will not return.

Communication was great. We didn't have to reach out for anything but we received all we needed via email without any issues or requests. This property is about a few large blocks from the Hang Out, Pink Pony and souvenir stores. It could be too long for those with mobility issues but most could do it easily. The parking spots are tight but there were plenty (however in the summer, probably not). During morning and evenings, elevators can be a little slow but that is expected. Nice walk way to the beach. Kiddie pool and seperate indoor/outdoor pool. There are bathrooms in by the pool if you do not want to go all the way to your room. The room was clean and a nice size. There were 4 of us and we were comfortable. We had two bathrooms. The master was a king with a huge closet. We didn't cook so not sure about kitchen utensils. We were on the 7th floor. Nice balcony and our furniture was very nice. We sat outside every day in the morning and evenings. Next to Sea N Suds as well, great for lunch/dinner or a drink! Would definitely stay here again!

Great location right on the beach. Quieter area than Orange Beach. MANY MANY nearby restaurants/bars in both Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, with a few that you can walk to from this condo building. A short easy drive to Foley or Orange Beach for groceries and other needed items. This is a clean, well kept building with good parking outside and inside the parking garage. Yes, sometimes you have to wait for the elevator but it was never for very long. The Gulf view from our 15th floor condo was INCREDIBLE. We saw dolphins every day and a flock of pelicans flew right by our 15th floor balcony several times a day! Great beach to walk and play at!

The views were great. Fabulous sunsets. Spacious for our family of 5. However, furniture was stained and dirty and could use an update. Television in living room was almost impossible to operate with roku and the dish remote was missing. There was damage to the walls and the whole place needed painting. The dishwasher and garbage disposal were loud and dishwasher looked old. The garbage disposal switch looked dangerous. The bedroom door on the right kept locking itself. The patio furniture was old and needed updating. There was only one dishcloth. Take your own toilet paper. There are only two elevators for the whole building so getting around is sometimes slow. Great beach and lots of good restaurants.

We stayed in 1804. I have been coming here for vacation 2-3 times a year for 35 years & this unit was by far the worst ever. There is mold in both tubs. The dishes/cook wear & pretty much everything in the unit look like it came from Good will or a yard sale. If your family likes to cook anything while on vacation, do not rent this unit! The bunk beds are old metal beds that make so much noise my son was terrified & ended up in the bed with us for the week. The tiles on the floor are broken & lose & my husband tripped on the same one over & over until we just moved it. The patio furniture is all rusted. The TV picture is so grainy we finally just turned it off. All in all... just pick another unit because it is beyond obvious the owners don’t care. Oh & the kid pool was closed when we were guaranteed it would be open.

Beware of this complex. We arrived on May 4th thru May 10th. Was book thru the 11th but had enough and left one day early. First off the parking is atrocious. The size of the parking spaces are so small you are lucky to fit in them, let along if you can find
one.Handicap parking is worse. Elevators (2) don’t work half the time. They have employees ridding in the Elevator, so if you get stuck they can call someone. Had to unload the dishwasher, as it was full. Ice maker would work but you could not dispense any water or ice. Part is suppose to be ordered by the note that was left for us. Furniture and mattress, are below par. You have to sleep in middle of beds so you won’t fall out. Air Conditioner quit working and had to have a electrician fix it.Had to rewire on roof of building. Meyer did reply quickly to the problems. There is a lot of construction going with re- roofing and painting all around the Condos. This is everywhere.
