I went to Melaka in a school trip, staying in Cyclamen Cottage for 5 nights, and it was an amazing experience because we occupied the whole cottage hence it was very casual and chill. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in a big group because it makes it gives you more freedom and you don't have to... More

Came here for a school trip and it was a lovely experience. Had a very spacious room to share with only one other person, facilities were great and convenient, and had great sleeping quality. Overall, had a very pleasant stay with all my school mates in this historical location.

This is a delightful, small inn in a former army barracks that has been restored. The barracks were from one of the historic periods of Malacan history, and everything is authentic. The owners were wonderfully accommodating. All in all, a very nice visit!

A classic Peranakan style hotel amidst a quiet neighbourhood with a beautiful garden. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with old quality furniture. In-house cafe brings you back to old Colonial days with typical British Breakfast served with Nyonya delicacies. I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and classic Straits Chinese or Peranakan cultural artefacts. This historical heritage hotel... More

I am a solo traveller looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of city dwelling for a day and booked myself at Cyclamen Cottage on a weekday night. The cottage has an honesty to it, a labour of love that you immediately feel when you arrive. Check in was fuss free as I got my room sorted within... More

You will be visiting a very traditional looking cottage with a very accommodating host . Cindy, our host went out of her way to get my girlfriend a cake for her birthday when requested without any additional charge. In addition, Cyclamen provides freshly grown produces in their breakfast offering which includes local fruits like rambutans and home made kaya. Remember... More

If you are driving into Melaka, Cyclamen Cottage would be a great choice. Value for money and it has its own parking lots. It's also not along the same stretch as Jonker, so you (kind of) avoid the traffic jam on weekends. We recommend the place to couples who want privacy and quiet. Pros: quiet surroundings, beautiful antique deco, peaceful... More

This hotel gives you a feeling that you have been taken back to ancient time as the cottage has colonial architectural style. Cottage though look historic but are well maintained. The rooms are spacious (we stayed in Deluxe Garden with Verandah) and clean, only problem was aircon cooling was not that good. There is shared verandah, kitchen, fridge and its... More

I'll start by saying don't drive to Melaka on school holiday weekends. The roads will be a nightmare, and Melaka itself can be suffocating. Went in a year ago (2014). Forgot which month. If you don't want to read the long review below, here's a quick one: Good value for the room I got. Building and decor is a beautifully... More
