Upon entering the hotel, before even checking in, a visitor is greeted at the door by a woman with a wet cloth and candies. The ground floor has has many of the elements of a wealthy Chinese homeowner. All around the ground floor are unusual candies for guests to help themselves. The rooms are totally modernized and very comfortable. The...

I like how authentically colonial the Hotel looked, especiallywith its green paint and wooden furniture inside. It was expensive!! RM 425 a night. Not sure if id stay again. The bathroom was not properly concealed through the windows shutter so people could peek in while you were washing up etc etc. Gym was open 24 hours! Swimming pool is decent.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Majestic. All the staff were so welcoming, friendly, polite and engaging-nothing was ever too much trouble. The standard of hygiene was very high. The only shortcoming was that it's a little off the beaten track, but saying that, it was only a short walk (10-15 mins) from the main tourist...

Everything about this hotel was excellent! Beautiful decor and friendly staffs. The restored mansion was quite a gem by the river of Malacca. Breakfast was good. Everything was almost perfect. Except one issue! Just like other reviewer said, the sound insulation was pretty bad. To the extend that you can practically hear your neighbor flipping the plastic bag. That's how...

This hotel makes you feel special as you drive up and then go inside. The bedrooms were lovely and spacious, the bed & linen one of the best I've slept in. The perfect hotel for a base in Malacca, the spa is well worth a visit too, I had the most relaxing massage there.

Restored Heritage building at the front with hotel rooms in new high rise behind. Rooms done up in period heritage design. We loved our room which looked over the river (you need to ignore the building site next to that). The bathroom included a claw bath with sliding walls/doors around. Breakfast was very nice with a selection of cooked options...

The Majestic is a nice boutique hotel adjacent to the river. The original mansion was built in the 1920’s. Downstairs has a reception area, bar and library. Upstairs is the dining room. Attached to the original building is a multi-story hotel, from memory built around 2008 that contains the guest rooms. Our room was large and fitted-out in the period...

Walking into The Majestic feels like waking back in time to a more elegant era. The public areas of the hotel are in a beautifully restored Baba Nyonya house while the modern hotel block has been decorated to replicate the beautiful colonial vibe. Nothing is too much trouble for the attentive staff who make you feel very welcome. The 'welcome...
