The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. We had problem with the wifi at the 4th floor and the front desk was patient and gave us a change of room to the 2nd floor on the our request without problem. The location was also very convenient and the breakfast was great, though not many variety. Cannot expect too...

Walk in rate is a bit higher better to do it online. Room is nice and comfy. Buffet Breakfast is nice with local dishes and limited western dish, We were allocated a room that a bit further from the elevator. Right at the end of the corridor. Non smoking rooms.

Explorer Hotel is a clean and comfortable tourist hotel with daily breakfast. The hotel is situated next to Makota Parade Mall. Next to Explorer Hotel is Palawan Walk which has a lane of Malaysian Local foods. On Friday to Sunday nights, there is a Local Weekend market (Pasar Malam) and about a km away is Jonker Street which has also...

It was a last minute decision to stay a night at Melaka. We ended up at The Explorer because the online ratings looked decent. However, it turned out to be one of my worst hotel stays ever. Avoid the Family Rooms. Perhaps they are rarely used, I am not sure, but the one I stayed in was very dusty. And...

Extremely near Mega Shopping malls & Heritage Gallery. All of the malls are walking distance from the Hotel. Hotel toilet is clean but small. Rooms are reasonably clean. The Wifi is terrible but a good way to disconnect from the world. Staffs are reasonably friendly.

Overall the staffs were friendly but rooms are so small, breakfast were limited. But the good point is location ( its located near by shopping centers, easy for guests to visit ). Hope to be served with better breakfast next time.

Really bad hotel. Dirty, bed sheets with spots of who knows what. Tiny rooms where you can hardly move. Garbage bags on the hallway. Next to the hotel there is a restaurant that keeps the music extremely loud until 3 am so not possible to sleep. The personnel at the front desk is rude and not helpful at all, they...
