Stayed over the Deepavali weekend. Was given a suite which was huge, as was the bathroom. Unfortunately, whoever designed it didn't give much thought to the layout of the shower which opened inward and couldn't be open outward. So unless you're a sheet of paper thin, there was no way you could squeeze in the shower and close the door... More

Very bad housekeeping which is not even done when u r out late from the hotel. And came back with the same old towel and sandy floor which was really making us uneasy with the sand dust on the floor. Not make up at alk on the bed. Towels not change.... not even mineral water and basic coffee were top... More

This hotel is located right in the action! Get a balcony room as the river view is fantastic. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room is ok. It is a 3* hotel! Price is ok as I booked through Agoda. On the downside the towels were dirty, we had to request a change. Also the shower isn't enclosed so the... More

This is my third stay at the Quayside Hotel. Quayside has obviously shown signs of ageing. Firstly, the room key keeps giving us problems to get in. The pillow cases are turning yellowish and getting rough (has "flurry balls"). The towels too are yellowish and worse is that it has a moldy smell. When we requested new towels, the staff... More

Stayed there on 15 Oct. Booked a room with a large bed but was given 2-single ones instead. Their justification: Request is subject to availability and of course, such rooms are limited. Mmmmm... talk of 1st impression gone. It is 2-storey hotel, strategically located with short walking distance to Jonker Walk. You have a choice of city-view or river-view rooms.... More

I was thrown by where to stay in Melaka. After having amazing accommodation in the similar town of Penang, I couldn't find the same types of places in Melaka. I eventually settled on Quayside - as I was looking for somewhere with a view. It's well located to explore the night market and town square, Melaka river cruise and get... More

Nice hotel , only thing that could be improved is the air conditioning and the shower. That wasn't working that well! Air conditioning doesn't really get cold, and shower doesn't really give warm water! And the fault that they provide in the room, is not even screwed down or bolted down.

When we checked in we were met by a very friendly and helpful member of staff, if I remember correctly, his name is Haziq. The cleaning staff didn't do a particularly great job, as we had to tell them everyday to put clean towels in the room as well as toilet paper. Used plates in which ws received room service... More

We booked a room overlooking the straits of Melaka. The view was pleasant. If you are a pokemon player, the hotel is within reach of a few stops :p - Location was in the middle of everything. We can walk to the Dataran Pahlawan mall and still check jonker street, the maritime museum and Christ Church. Hotel was quiet and... More

Our stay in Quayside hotel was truly a big disappointment. It started with the hotel entrance being blocked off from access of vehicles, resulting in guests driving round in circles trying to locate a separate access, then there were no available hotel parking and it really.just went downhill from there... We had to park a good distance away from the... More
