This was a disappointing stay all around. Our room was dirty (we had to switch twice) with debris caked onto the sink, stains and hairs on the sheets, and something gross splattered on the framed picture in the bathroom. Front desk staff was dismissive and more interested in gabbing with coworkers than providing any real help. I realize the building is old but that is no excuse for poor service and sloppy attention to detail. Find another hotel—this one is not worth your time and money.

Reserved a room on a Saturday in March at 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon through the Marriot reservations desk. Secured the room with a credit card. Was sent a confirmation number, and also a statement that the room charge was not refundable. Showed up at the Hotel front desk that evening and was informed by the front desk that they had our confirmed reservation but the hotel was fully booked and they would not honor the reservation because they were expecting some later arrivals. I could not believe the audacity that (1) they would not honor a confirmed with credit card non refundable reservation; and)2 )The front desk had the audacity to turn us a way and state they were expecting some late arrivals. The front desk clerks were the most arrogant and rudest personnel I believe I have ever encountered. They laughed at us because virtually every other room in down was booked. It was despicable that Marriot employees would be amused by the fact that an elderly couple was stranded and unable to find lodging after relying on a confirmed reservation from the Marriot site. We ask for something to show us we were not being charged for the room and front desk refused to give us anything additionally adding to our worries. Contacted Marriot the next day they were basically unconcerned (these things happen response). Interestingly 24 hours after all of this happened they emailed us a cancellation. Stay away from this place. As a long time Marriot customer I was disappointed in the service and then I got to thinking about other Marriot's I stayed in and it hit me over the years they have really let their standards deteriorate. In the future I believe I'll look elsewhere for lodging.

The hotel staff is friendly. That’s the only thing this hotel has going for it. My husband and I are both lifetime platinum elite members so we received an upgrade to the mini-suite. I was excited until I stepped off the elevator. I can’t describe how stained and nasty the carpet was. I think this hotel was built in the 70s and it was probably original carpet. The room wasn’t much better. It had numerous large stains on the popcorn ceiling and the walls were in bad need of a fresh coat of paint. It certainly didn’t give you the clean, sanitized and safe feeling. I actually slept in my clothes and left at 4:15 a.m. I have always relied on Marriott for a consistent standard of quality and cleanliness. If this is the new standard I will be moving to Hilton.

If you need a hotel in a pinch or have a large football team that needs business space and large private spaces then I would stay here. The front desk person was very nice. The building is in a 'tired' location and fits. It is built in a '70s style with large, angled supporting columns which do not help the ambience. The room was okay but the bathroom was VERY small. The lobby did have a place for gatherings and a bar. We arrived too late to determine if they were serving during these "COVID-19 times."

So you walk in - and the person who greets you is behind plexi. hmmm - that's pointless - it's airborne so the plexi doesn't block it. Wear a mask. She was highly energetic but did miss one thing I found out. She said Titanium breakfast was just grab and go. She was great - except that she's potentially a super spreader. When I went to the M Club in the AM, they had no grab n go. So i asked the waitress who was great and she said i'm entitled to hot breakfast. The grab and go is if you don't have time. Bonus - and she was masked. My only suggestion there because she was wonderful - you need oatmeal. You had eggs, eggs, and eggs. Oatmeal is easy and you should have it. That morning, the dude behind the desk was walking around the hotel - no mask. Forgetting it's a Marriot rule, you are telling travelers you are safe. And you clearly are not. So for that, I give you a one star. Otherwise, it's passable and well located - as always. Also, it seemed like 5 cars were in the lot. I guess though for efficiency you room everyone next to each other. How bout skip a room so i don't hear my neighbor. Thanks
