Battle house has the best rooms, food choices & quality, staff, fitness center, location and lobby... You name it, this place is very impressive, especially when you consider its reasonably priced. I have stayed here dozens of times, spending over a year of my time on travel in Mobile, and the Battle House Renaissance will always be my first choice...

This was a beautiful location, beautiful hotel, with a beautiful staff. From the valet (Greg and Jacob were the BEST), to the servers, to the front desk clerks, and even the security guards...everyone had a pleasant disposition. Each time you were greeted, a smile was sure to follow. I stayed in room 6139 which was a corner room. It didn't...

This beautifully renovated hotel was a treat. The staff was very friendly from the bell man to the lounge attendant. A step up from the generic national chains. Many dining options within walking distance. Be sure to go up to the second story balcony in the lobby to check out the whispering arch.

We recently spent 3 nights at Battle House as a group of 12 ladies for a tennis tournament. The hotel has an impressive lobby, and convenient downtown location. We had Club Level rooms, which provided hot breakfast daily (eggs, meat, oatmeal, cereal & fruit.). Sun-Thurs club level also provides wine and cocktails ($7 for a glass of wine.). We only...

This historic hotel impresses from the minute you enter the beautiful lobby. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful from the valet to the front desk. We had a room in the old part of the hotel. It was quite large and nicely appointed. There were some maintenance issues; peeling paint in the bathroom, phone that didn't work, otherwise...

We stayed at this hotel as part of a large wedding party. It's a beautiful hotel with extremely clean rooms! Given the quality of the hotel, I have never received such poor service both as part of a wedding party and also as an individual guest. For all the traveling that we have been doing with our 11 month old...

We really enjoyed the beautiful Battle House Renaissance. We stayed one night during the Mardi Gras celebration. The hotel was in front of a parade route Sunday night. It was so nice to walk around downtown Mobile, which is charming, and enjoy the restaurants and live music. The staff was amazing. We loved chatting with Mike in the concierge suite....

My wife and I stayed here over the weekend before Fat Tuesday for Mardi Gras. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the staff is fantastic. They were totally slammed because of the holiday and still made it look effortless. The restaurants are ok, but nothing special, and are too expensive. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is...

This is a beautifully restored historic hotel. Although it was several hours before check-in, I stopped by the front desk to see when my room might be available. I forget his name, but the young man was very helpful and took my information. About an hour later, Kasey called to let me know that my room was available. By the...

There's not a lot of highly rated hotels in Mobile, in fact, the only two higher rated hotels are both Renaissance properties. This hotel is located in the heart of downtown Mobile & is within walking distance of the convention center & has mardi gras parades that pass by the front door. We were in Mobile, by chance, during mardi...
