We arrived at 210pm and 2 different security guards wouldn't allow me to enter building to check in until I received text. I understand check in is 4pm but not to be allowed to ask an employee if room is ready is ridiculous. I asked 3 different Spectrum employees if this was correct policy and it's not, they said you're allowed to check in but not use facilities until you check in to your room which is fully understood. Spectrum took good care of us. Family of 10 booked C2904, it was awesome. This is our second time staying here and we love it, beautiful resort with everything you need, close to restaurants and shopping. Treat yourself.

There was so much to enjoy at Turquoise Place. Our condo was so spacious and clean! It was well stocked with so many extras like an Ice machine in the wet bar, blenders, roasters, ice cream machine, waffle maker etc. It lacked nothing!
The beds were large, comfy and had extra pillows and blankets for each room. Every room has it's own bathroom and large closet.
The laundry room has enough space we could park our wagon in it and use that room to "repack" and clean up the sand brought in.
The beach was soft white sand with rental chairs and umbrellas if you choose. The bar-restaurant 'Change of Pace' on site was a nice treat as well as 'Pipers Place' the frozen treat bar. There is more than enough to do without leaving the hotel; fitness center, free breakfast during season (which it was there for us in September but not sure what the season runs), beach towels, kids playground, lazy river and several pools. I had read lots of reviews before booking and found if you rent right from Spectrum there are amenities included that are not if you book by 3rd party.
We also took advantage of the Mermaid Photo shoot for our two granddaughters. Peyton Halliday is WONDERFUL to work with (phalliday@spectrumresorts.com), hopefully I can add a photo of that here.
The only minus we found was the hallways were dark, however we laughed as we would say it each time we came back in from outside, are they dark OR is it that we have been outside where the sun was so brightly shinning.
This is a place we will return for a family vacation! Our rental unit was a 3 bedroom 3.5 bathroom, personal hot tub on balcony, grill, great outdoor furniture, so beautifully decorated, right off the elevator on the 10th floor D1007!

Six of us as family stayed here for 5 nights week before Memorial Day weekend. Turquoise Place is one of the best in Orange Beach. The condos here are very large, very nice, and also very expensive. There beautifully appointed and offer pretty much everything you need or would have at home. I had seen other reviews saying you should bring extra laundry soap, dishwasher soap, trash bags, and T. P., and we were glad we did. They have an enormous balcony with a hot tub and patio table with seating for 8. The master also has its own patio door going out to the balcony. It is large, has a large walk in shower and a large jacuzzi tub. It also has a work desk. The other bedrooms are standard size, each with its own small bathroom. We booked through Spectrum as from other reviews I seen others had problems with secondary bookers. When booking through Spectrum there are a few little perks included like breakfast ( pretty generic and the menu was the same all week), and beach towels. The property is twin towers. There’s a indoor pool and hot tub, fitness room in both towers. Both have there own walkway to the beach. The outdoor pools and lazy river look great but no one could get in them to enjoy them because the water was freezing cold. Looks like they could heat the lazy river and the main pool to give people a chance to use them. That was a huge disappointment. There’s also no restaurant or bar on property, except a bar and grill by the main pool that has only limited hours and menu. There’s no pool service either. So, all in all, it’s a beautiful property and area. And there’s loads of good restaurants around. So check it out!

Hello and thank you for your review. I'm glad you brought extra amenities. We communicate everything that is included in your unit in all pre-arrival communication in hopes that guests will get a good understanding of what amenities our condos come with. The lazy river is heated to 86 degrees. It's enough to take the chill off, but it can still be chilly. The outdoor pool is still cold this time of year. It sounds like you enjoyed the Spectrum perks and your overall stay and we hope to see you again!

We have stayed here 4 time and had issues with staff walking into room unannounced.... This past week we had staff enter our room at 3AM.... I woke up to a Nosie and went to see what it was... It was a woman and man... I lost it... I asked them why are you here and why not contact me by phone. This happen twice in same days. Once staff entered earlier in the day and again no knock at door... Just came into room with no announcement. I understand the storm was a concern with the staff but you have a phone in the room and my cell you can call..... The next day we went to walk on beach to again find a staff member entered our room. I know this because we turned all lights off and set up the door so we can know if someone entered. Every light in unit was turned on and my trap at door was disturb by the door being opened. The last time we stand we were given room keys and got to the unit to only find it was occupied by someone else..... After this trip its really going to be hard to come back....

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. We deeply value your loyalty as a returning guest and are truly sorry for the experience you described. This is certainly not the standard of service we aim to provide, and it is concerning to hear about these incidents. We do not have staff on-site at 3 AM, and it seems there may have been a significant miscommunication or misunderstanding. We would appreciate the opportunity to investigate this matter further to ensure your peace of mind and prevent any similar situations in the future. Your feedback about unannounced entries and your previous experience with room assignments is also concerning. The staff at Spectrum is trained to knock several times before entering. This is not reflective of the level of professionalism and care we strive to maintain. We are committed to addressing these issues with our team and reinforcing protocols to uphold the trust and comfort of our guests. Please feel free to reach out to us directly with any additional details about your stay so we can investigate and resolve this matter thoroughly. We value your past visits and hope we can restore your confidence in us for future stays.

Really poor experience with Liquid Life, who we rented our condo at Turquoise from. I would not recommend this company or be fooled by the friendly customer service reps on the phone. When conflict arises, they deflect & hide at any available opportunity.
Liquid Life and Turquoise Place need to get on the same page fast - or you'll end up not getting what you pay for or are promised.
While a large portion of our issues had to do with the company (Liquid Life) who manages units inside Turquoise Place, their dishonesty, lack of communication & transparency were unlike anything we've experienced.
We have been coming to Turquoise Place for 14 years & have never experienced an issue.
After the price we paid for the week, to have the private balcony hot tub unavailable the entire week, a premium amenity for why we always book there in the first place, is extremely disappointing.
The view and outside amenities at Turquoise cannot be beat ... but to pay the already substantially higher than other property fees, to have an amenity only they offer unavailable was very disappointing.
If it was communicated in advance that the hot tub wasn't functional, we would've asked to move to another unit or cancelled our reservation altogether. Liquid Life/Turquoise Place waited to inform us until we were checked in & had no other options.
We also filed a maintenance claim for a beeping fire alarm...it took 3 days to address, & the text we received that it was completed was THREE HOURS after checking out. Liquid Life also had no problem sending us a text for a discount to extend our stay an extra night.
Again, if the hot tub was not going to be accessible, why tell us that is was? We also asked what other options were in the event it was closed, & were told the following:
4/25 at 3:16 pm "From the time line that we received from Spectrum the hot tub will be in use during your stay."
We were given written notice before arrival that the hot tub WOULD be working, as well as it being confirmed at check-in by the front desk, only to find out it's not accessible when arriving to the room.
Ultimately, we had no interest in leaving a negative review, but numerous emails went not responded to & it's clear that Liquid Life could care less about actually taking care of customers.
If Turquoise Place is going to let outside vendors manage their properties, they should make sure to properly communicate issues to guests well in advance - that would seemingly be a common courtesy.

We stayed in Unit 1209C and it was a beautiful unit overall but the air conditioning was not working properly. On Tuesday I called and they sent someone to come check it. We were not in the room when they came in. They put fans in all the rooms to help circulate the air which helped some but heard nothing from anyone with what their intent was or what was going on. We tolerated it a couple more days and I asked to have someone come back. Another guy came in and said it was hot because those particular windows were not tinted. I asked if there were portable air units we could get and he stated they were all being used. In my opinion this was a ridiculous excuse. I went to the front desk again and let them know it was still not working. They came in and said one of the compressors was not working and it would be the next day before they could get it fixed. At this point we had been there 6 days dealing with this problem and were leaving the next day. They did give me a "small credit" in my opinion considering what we paid for 8 days and was in a 4 bedroom unit. Also the first of the week I let them know the grill wasn't working and they said they had to order a part - never fixed during our stay. The master bedroom bed was broke also and we had to sleep in the middle because thats apparently were the bed was broke. This is not a place to stay where you would expect things like this. Also I let them know there was black build up on the lazy river and it was just dirty and dingy overall. Some of the floats were deflated and just laying around. The beach service (different company) was amazing to say the least. We had a good time but just very disappointed in our stay. The ladies at the desk were very nice and placed the orders for the complaints but nothing was done to fix the problems while there.

Beware that the hot tub water maintenance can walk into your room everyday without notice. I as a female was undressed and in the master bedroom when I see a man on the balcony. I never heard a knock nor an announcement stating he was coming into the room. I quickly dressed and confronted him as he was in the living room at this time and he stated he is allowed to go into the room. I was alone in the room at this time. I reported it and was chased by 2 people from the water maintenance company. Candace stated it has happened before and will continue to happen in the future and they teach their employees to apologize. I didn’t even get an apology from him. It’s extremely unacceptable to walk into any room especially as a male when a female is undressed and not expecting anyone to use a master key card to let themselves in. But according to the company it will continue to happen and they will just apologize if it does. Also my children were expecting to use the new slide while we were there since it was not open last visit. It was closed the whole time due to weather although my kids were playing soccer at a tournament the entire time. No rain or lightning so I’m unsure what was the weather issue other than being cloudy and dreary. Needless to say after many years of staying here we will not be returning.

Overall, Turquoise Place is ideal for families. Staff is wonderful and will address any issue you have. I looked for a unit with 4 king size beds for our 3 grown children and spouses. 1409D was the only one available in the D building for our dates. We had stayed in the C building the year before and I wanted a westerly unobstructed view of the ocean. This unit sold for $2.7 million in 2023. Obviously, the price is mainly for the view. My first mistake was booking it for the bedrooms and not realizing there were no recent reviews for this unit. I’m not sure this unit is used enough to recognize there are a few issues. You are paying for the view. All appliances were in working order. Set up in bedrooms was adequate. We had a 6 year old with us and as I was looking in the drawers, all the sharp knives were in a lower drawer. Management was going to take care of that. Living room furniture is very dated and worn. Rugs were dirty. Hot tub was functional but only furniture on huge end unit balcony was a table with 6 chairs. We had 9 staying in this unit. No furniture for lounging. I would look at reviews and focus on furnishings.
Indoor pool is always a plus as is pickleball and tennis courts. Staying in the winter you miss out on some pool activities but we love staying here.
My impression is I would go back and stay at Turquoise Place but never in this unit. All issues were addressed by staff.

Hopefully this review won't get taken down, this is my 2nd time in the last week reviewing the Turquoise place in Orange beach Alabama the 1st one mysteriously disappeared? 1st of all the beds were comfy the condo was decorated nicely but that's where the fun stops. Constant construction in C tower ( That started before 7 AM) So much for a relaxing time at the beach. When we booked this condo they should have let us know, and maybe asked if we wanted to book the D tower ( And yes for the 10th time we did book their Spectrum) We were offered a very nice hospitality room in THE D TOWER. So you had to take the elevator, walk outside or if it was raining walk under the condo in the parking lot to get to the Hospitality Room. Again they could have told us when booking that the C tower would not have a hospitality room open.. When we booked the condo we paid a $116 for an early check in (1pm) We arrived at 2:15 PM and was told Condo was not ready. We waited 10 minutes and decided to go back in and tell the guy behind the desk that we paid for early check in- his response? " You should have told me you paid for early check in" what? Do you work here? You have a computer right in front of you? Miraculously our room was ready within 5 minutes. And just so you know if you pay for early check in you don't get a totally clean condo. Our balcony had not been touched, not cleaned or swept- and apparently no one could be bothered to even fix the rug that was haphazardly laying under our furniture. (Liability tripping hazard in my opinion) Dishes were dirty in the cabinet and the dishwasher did not use the soap that was put in the soap holder. Apparently the dishes just get rinsed. Lip marks on coffee cups (gross) Someone had turned the washing machine off before the cycle was ended, and when I did go to wash our beach towels, water poured out into the laundry room and all over my shoes. We had to call maintenance for that. Not to mention on the last day of our stay we saw some giant cockroaches on the balcony. Apparently this is no big deal that they are native here- but in 7 years visiting the turquoise place I've never seen one, ever. But in looking at the condition of our balcony with the dirt, hair, crumbs I can see why there were bugs. Very dirty carpets in master bedroom as well as dirty rugs that were thrown in the spare bathrooms. Out of the 7 times that I have visited TP, 4 times construction going on ( Even once right above our condo which was very unpleasant) 4 times lazy river wasn't open, the waterfall maybe once was working. All these things may seem small and minor, but when you're paying that much money to stay at a place like this you expect better!

Hello! I will try to address each item in your reivew. Regarding your review- I manage reviews and have not taken down any reviews. I'm wondering if Trip Advisor removed it for breaching some kind of policy. Speaking from a Spectrum Resorts perspective since this is a Spectrum Resorts page, we made sure to let every guest know about the construction in the C tower. We are excited to be offering a brand new parking and amenities deck which will offer a 300 ft water slide, splash pad, putting green and additional parking that we desperately needed- As we work to solve problems and better the property construction is a necesary event that must happen. We expect construction to last 12 months. The Hospitality room I believe you are refering to is the Club Lounge. Our website says the Club Lounge is located in 503D (D Tower). We do not have a Club Lounge in the C Tower. As far as the early check in goes I do apologize. Reservation agents should have that information in the system and be prepared with your early arrival. I do apologize for that! As for the condition of your unit, that is unacceptable. We have an extremely high standard for our units and I will let the Housekeeping Director know. About the roaches, you are correct- they are unfortunatley native to the beaches, and we do spray regularly for them. If we hear of a unit that is experiencing problems with it we do spray again so we will definitely hit this unit again. Managing a large property does mean things break and must be maintaned. Unfortunately in order to make repairs sometimes we have to shut things down. I do hope you come back to visit once our construction is complete so you can enjoy our brand new amenities-and as always thank you for your feedback. We look at each and every review to try and improve.

Cons: Not cleaned properly, not that well stocked, oven would not get to temperature, expensive, confusing check in and only one reserved parking spot (second one is not reserved but included in the price).
Not cleaned properly – our shower smelled horrible and we had to clean it when we got there. There was a large hole in one on the bath towels provided to us (See picture). There were black hand prints and smudges on all the doors next to the door handles (see pictures). We never saw cleaning crews cleaning the common areas during Covid 19; the same little kids hand prints were all over the elevators the entire week we were there. The beautiful floor to ceiling windows were only cleaned as high up as a 5’4” person can reach. I found bobby pins and hair on the bathroom counter in the kid’s room. We were charged a cleaning fee of over $300 as part of the cost of the condo but the place was not cleaned to basic standards of a two star hotel. This is the biggest reason for my rating.
Not stocked well – if being “well stocked” means drawers and cabinets literally piled with dishes, most of which you will probably not use… then this is well stocked. They will only provide you with 1 trash bag, 1 roll of paper towels, and 1 roll of toilet paper per bath room. You will need to bring dish washing soap, laundry detergent and cleaning supplies. There is no salt, pepper or any other condiments or seasonings.
Check in – check in is in the west tower but the main entrance is blocked off with cones. You need to go into the East tower and turn a sharp right and go through a gate to drive to the west tower. Do not go into the parking garage of the east tower. There are no signs telling guests were to go. There is no one at the front desk outside of check in hours.
