My husband and I have been diving many places and between us have been on 12 live-aboards and so you know we like to dive. This time I requested some rest and relaxation as well. Matava was perfect for us. The staff was amazing (24 staff for a maximum of 18 guests), the food was really good and the diving...

I spent 10 days at Matava with The League of Underwater Superheroes and had the time of my life! I could not have dreamt up a better vacation! The scuba diving was overwhelmingly beautiful and the friendly staff was outstanding! Everyone there went above and beyond the call of duty. The food is outstanding as well and everything is so...

I stayed at the resort with my brother for just over a week; we went suba-diving everyday except the last. The scuba-diving itself was very good; the corals were beautiful; we were taken to the dive sites on a big aluminium hulled boat, two out-board motors with a canvas covering for the sun and rain; it was really easy going...

My husband and I spent a week at Matava in February. We are used to going to remote, weird, exotic places but I have to admit that this has been one of our best experiences. The story begins with our son who was in Indonesia for his gap year and who caught hemorrhagic Dengue fever as we were going to...

Me and my husband spend a week at Matava in February. It was a wonderful experience! The staff is lovely, they make every guest feel special! Maggie, Sita, Cherie,... they're all genuinly friendly and kind. They knew every guest by name, it really felt like a big family. The bures are clean and spacious, as is the bathroom. Even though...

This place is the most misrepresented destination I've ever had the misfortune to visit. The Eco part of their claim to fame is just a way of saying we're too cheap to spend money on our facilities. there's nothing Eco about it. But boy do they know how to charge. For everything! The quaint little village you pay to see...

Amazing. We felt more like honored guests in a village than paying customers at a resort. You are treated like family and you felt the same genuine fondness. Bure’s were very nice; comfortable bed, effective mosquito netting. Nicely furnished; feeling modern and updated. Bathroom and shower were great with lots of hot water. Felt closer to a stay at the...

We stayed 5nights at Matava, going home on Nov. 17. I have nothing but praise. Matava was perfect for us, but do your homework to see if it's for you. If you want blowdryers, boutiques, pools and fancy, skip this. Kadavu is gorgeous, and Matava provided us with everything we needed. The setting is stunning, and our bure felt very...

I have just returned from a 10 day trip to Matava. It was WONDERFUL. The best diving that I have experienced. The 45 minute dive that I had with the Manta rays is one that I will never forget - It was truly a dream come true. The staff was superb - The food was excellent - The ambiance was...
