So close to Suva and yet lovely to be on a small island surrounded by stunning ocean. Saw squid, sea snakes, baby lobsters and lots of fish around the corals just a swim off the beach, good food in abundance, and friendly staff. A perfect...More
This place was just incredible. I was only in Suva for work for 3 weeks, so was at first skeptical about spending one of my only weekends at an island that would take half a day for me to get to. But it was just...More
Leleuvia is worth a visit! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, excited to share the Fijian culture with you. We were able to snorkel, paddleboard and kayak all within the same day. The island is small enough that if you regularly kayak, you can kayak...More
A short boat journey from nearby Bau Landing, Leleuvia is maintained along the lines of a larger, more commercial version of what we'd come to expect in Solomon Islands, only this time the boat crossing was shorter and the boat larger. So on Friday morning...More

The Saturday night meal is called Lovo and is a barbecue of chicken, pork and vegetables that are buried in foil and cooked in coals in the ground. Yummy. It was accompanied by salads. The breakfasts are buffet style and consist of several types of cereals, hot oatmeal, breads and fruits. Also included are tea, coffee, and juice. Eggs and omelettes are available for a charge. The lunch is served to you and are generally BBQ or wraps with a side dish. The dinners when not Lovo are served to you and are an entree with one or two side dishes and usually begin with a very tasty soup. Most of the dinners when I visited were fish as entree. Although I'm not a big fish eater, it was some of the best fish dinners I have ever eaten. The chef really knows his stuff. Dessert is not included with any of the meals but ice cream, cheesecake or cake is available anytime for a charge. There is a full bar so drinks are available for purchase anytime. The nice thing is upon checking in to Leleuvia, your host will ask you if you have any food allergies or anything you just don't like to eat and they try very hard to accommodate. I'm not vegetarian or vegan but I know there were some sides and salads that were probably meat free. All in all, the meals were quite satisfying and delicious.
