We stayed 4 days - but could have stayed much longer! The hospitality is great, the food its one of the best in Fiji and the tours are awesome. We did fishing and snorkeling (have seen lots of fishes and a wreck). Also there are many free activities such as Kayak, Snorkel at the beautiful own House-reef, jungle walk. We...

I lived and worked in Fiji or 2 months and did some traveling afterwards, so I saw quite a lot of it. But this place is my favorite. Its perfectly remote on an island without cars or roads. It has its on Surfbreak in front of resort, where you'll be surfing with only a few more other people. The hotel...

Maqai is the place to go if you want to get away from it all and enjoy the island life. There's plenty to do, if you're inclined, snorkeling, hiking, day trips, and more. Or take it easy in the hammock, listen to waves and watch the tide roll in. Solar panels provide power and the food is locally grown and...

I stayed in Maqai for 5 nights and had a wonderful time there! Its perfect to get away from the rest for the world a few days and enjoy some beach life wether it´s surfing, snorkeling, kayaking or just reading a good book. The resort is really cosy and familiar and i felt welcome there right from the beginning. The...

I stayed for a week and really enjoyed and soaked up the lovely hospitality, food and fun shown by Jeff and an all-local staff of the Maqai Eco Resort team. It was a privilege to be present as they celebrated winning a Fiji-wide tourism award for 'low footprint' tourism. I snorkelled at a special local reef and also did a...

We stayed at Maqai for 8 nights and it was everything we were looking for. Its an idilic spot. We managed to score pumping waves for a few days with an empty line up. The snorkling on the reefs both at the front of the resort and further out was fantastic, as were the views from the jungle walk. The...

As we approached the resort and island on the boat, we thought it was probably the most idyllic setting and location we had ever been to! It really looks like the perfect picture on a postcard or in a travel book. Besides the exotic and beautiful setting, we also had a fabulous time! The resort is the perfect place to...

I went there to escape all the backpacker trouble and to find empty waves. Unfortunately, i timed it wrong with the waves but that didn't make the trip any worse. I had the greatest time there. Visited this resort as its location is straight across from the surf. The accommodation looked comfortable and the view was unreal.
