The Pearl Resort & Spa earns praise from guests for its comfortable rooms with ocean vistas and the hotel's Indonesian-inspired ambiance featuring live music. The friendly staff and a variety of engaging activities add to the positive experience, though some travelers have encountered slow service and maintenance issues.
While the central location is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts and divers, visitors advise caution with unexpected charges and express disappointment with the food's quality, suggesting the value for money could be improved.

Detailed Reviews
We called on Suva, Fiji as a port of call on our Celebrity cruise ship. We decided we wanted a day at a Fijian Resort. We selected this from the excursion offerings.
It was about an hour drive to resort which was fine as we got to see a lot of the countryside and our guide out to the resort was great, lots of good info about Fiji , the culture etc...
Resort seemed very clean, very open air concept like you would expect from a tropical location. Cant’ speak to the rooms but just the pool area, beach and restaurant. Beach is nice..long sandy beach for walking. Water is very warm! Not crowded, very few people so it was lovely. Resort has that charming older South Pacific architecture, which is lovely but its definitely dated. Pool area is nice, nothing fancy, just a big rock in the center that serves as a waterfall of sorts. It was comfortable and quiet . There is a restaurant , gift shop etc near the pool. All very convenient and the staff couldnt have been nicer. Before we left we had a buffet lunch and entertainment provided by Fijian dancers. Buffet was good, except the bbq meat was a bit tough. I noticed that it looked like the meat had been pre cooked when it was put on the grill an then just warmed up...hence, well done and tough. Otherwise, it was all pretty tasty. It was a nice day, but no “wow” factor of a modern facility.

I've been to the Pearl many times, first time I have stayed. Friendly staff, average food, ok grounds. Room was grubby and gross. Dirty sheets - actually no top sheet, floor covered in dust, dirt, food and flies. Walls and lamps were mouldy, dirty surfaces, mirrors and windows. No toiletries. Just one night, thankfully.

Staff very helpful. I stayed in the new wing with a river view. Spa services were excellent. Check in with the cold towel and water is a nice feature. Several English language movie channels in the room. Air conditioning worked well.

We love this place and have stayed here quite a few times. Their service is amazing with staff that are friendly and care about the visitors. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with a great variety. We enjoyed the gym, paddle boards and kayaks, the restaurant, and the beach. Besides all this the rates are great and we'll worth the stay!

Fiji! What can I say? Lovely people just lovely, and The Pearl's team was exactly that to a person! Every single staff member was an absolute delight to deal with - I've never seen so many smiles on so many people in one day, except at another Fiji hospitality site! The facilities are great, pool lovely, beachfront great. Breakfast by the small marina every morning was a charm to be looked forward to. Andrea and I just loved our too-short 4-day stay here (we transited from Beqa lagoon) and wish we'd booked for longer - hindsight is 20/20 they say! We will be back! Next time, we will book a sea view room......we had a garden view room which was lovely a sea view though would have been better once we saw them (not the hotel's fault)!

We were a group of 9 (2 families) with 4 children and spent a week at this resort. I must admit we had a really great time from the hustle and bustle of Nadi or Coral Coast. This is were most Fijian come for a holiday. It’s approximately 3 hours from Nadi and close to Suva. The beaches were gorgeous and we got the locals to take us on their boats to nearby islands that were pristine and magical. We did a lot of snorkeling. We went canoeing in the river across the mangroves and did a lot of walking trips. The staff were very nice. We had upgraded sea view rooms in the new wing that was quite spacious. The old wing is amazing if you are into heritage architecture. I would really recommend the management to renovate the old wing and this will be surely the top seller. The only negative I can see is the swimming pool. The pool is small with rough concrete. Being such a large resort they should have had a long pool where most of the guests will spend time. The food is quite expensive if you are with a family but you can go across the road and there is a good place called “Establishment” that has lovely food.

we were going to suva and the hotels were expensive, but we found that when there is not a huge wedding, or something big going on at this place, that they actually have a very good rate considering what you get. Hotel room is nice, breakfast is really good, and the scenery is wonderful. They also had a great pool.

We stayed here for 1 night after coming across a great i night deal which included breakfast for 2.
The room was good and had a good view of the ocean. The bed was comfy.
Their buffet breakfast was excellent and included a variety. what we paid was worth for a nights stay and breakfast.
Would really recommend it.

Hi , the travel from Nadi to Beqa takes 3 and half hour with car. Panorama is very nice but after a long flight it is a little bit boring.
We are not very active so didn't play golf or go kayaking. We both had a massage which was wonderful. There are a number of treatments starting at around $A100 but you will need to make a booking. We did the sunset cruise which we enjoyed and also did a tour to a local village which was a great experience. meals were great- either at the Riverside restaurant or the poolside restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there
