Location is okay. very close to metro station.Twin sharing and triple sharing room were okay but very basic. If you just want a roof and a bed then it is a place otherwise not comfortable.Room was clean. There is Indian , Panjabi dhaba (restaurant) very close to it. Eateries and general stores near by. There are irritating 'cats' in the campus...

I stayed in 6 female bedroom, the room is humid and dark, and I must use my roomcard for the light on. There were no private charging place for each bed,it was very inconvenient. When I was about to sleep one big girl walked in and said some words I couldn't understand, maybe in Russian, she pushed me to another bed,...

We booked a room for 6 for two nights but we stayed less than 30 min in that hostel after seeing the room: cockroach in the corridors with a vomit smell in front of our room. Once in the room: humid sheets, bed harder than a plank of wood. mould in the room and in the bathroom... Hopefully they gave...

The beds were honestly the hardest beds I've slept on. I know the Chinese like them hard (it's good for the back they'll always tell me), but it was almost like they had forgotten to purchase any mattresses. I have problems with hard beds because my hips are quite wide and it caused real discomfort during my stay and even...

Nice and clean place. The location is fine, very close to the metro, but there is nothing to do on that side of Shanghai at night, so you might want to find a place on the other side of the river. Other than that, it wasn't bad.

I stayed at BeeHome for 4 nights. The room is clean, the staff can speak english well. We need to deposit 100 RMB for the key and they'll give it back until you check out. The hostel is really close to Lujiazui Financial District, you can walk to SWFC, Jin Mao Tower and The Oriental Pearl Tower in less than...

Really liked the location and the staff. They speak enough English to be useful and the ones who didn't still tried. Lots of little food vendors around serving good cheap food all day. They provided towels but, I had to hit the quiky mart for soap. Location is great for walking access to Pudong(I walked to pearl tower) and to...

I've stayed here twice on my visits to shanghai because its easy to reach the subway system and an easy walk to catch the ferry to cross the river. The rooms are spacious here. the communal area has both a porch for outside seating and an enclosed area. There were plenty of small restaurants to get a meal at, and...

we stayed in beehome for 3 nights whilst looking for an apartment. hostels in china are so much easier then (midrange) hotels because the staff speaks better english. the first night we were unable to figure out how to work the aircon-heater so it was freezing! but the next day the staff solved the mistery (aircon has to be on...

As close and convenient as your going to get to metro 2. It is in a neighborhood and there are plenty of local food vendors on Dongchang lu and in the back streets. Very helpful and accomodating, speak english too. I had a bit of a walk to find a grocery store (3 blocks south on Pucheng rd)to buy soap...

Staying in Lujiazui

Neighbourhood Profile
When people speak of Shanghai’s futuristic skyline, it’s the financial district of Luiazui they are speaking of. Shanghai’s most iconic buildings are located in close proximity to Lujiazui’s elevated ring road and swanky eateries. Sky-high shopping and chic bars fill the highrises around the area. As is characteristic of a world-class financial business district, some of Shanghai’s best malls and hotels can be found in the neighborhood. While everyone on the famous Bund side of the river gazes in awe at these amazing structures, all the buildings here, as well as Lujiazui’s riverside promenade, offer great views of the historic buildings all along the Puxi side. The Lujiazui park often hosts music festivals throughout the year, and park goers can party and stroll in the shadow of some of the world’s tallest buildings.
